YankeexDev
Hey, I was wondering what datafile I should use to get the most realistic game play. Thanks
ming
I'm sure all of them are good, but I have stayed with Trues. The tampering with the ball physics just screwed up my hr's too much using some of the others. They all have their strong points....just play around with them to find the one for you. Emil
I search'd round a little bit, before I found my love. http://www.mvpmods.com/modules.php?name=Do...ion_2#dldetails
Dazedcat
I've tried many, but keep going back to True's datafile 1.1 as well. But I managed to figure out how to incorporate some of the camera views that others have come up with and applied it to his datafile for my own personal use. Gameplay reality though, Trues is still the best datafile out there, imho. Regards;
UncleMo
which ones have ball physics tweaked and do they give you more or less homers?
endeavor
do they give you more or less homers? Rather less homers.
mdchap
What sliders are you using for Trues datafile?
mrmariner
Jim825's datafile is really good, I would recommend giving it a try.
jservice
I use Jim825's datafile v2 its awesome. I have tried all of them. I play a full game to give it a chance. Most have something wrong with them... the biggest thing being the pitch meter get in the way when a lefthanded batter is up and there is someone on a base. then the camera angles on some, its hard to judge and catch an outfield fly. Use Jim825's datafile v2 .... you will not be disapointed.
UncleMo
you didn't tell us anything good about Jm825's though. What is so good about it?
mdchap
Jim's Datafile creates too many HR's.. I even lowered the HR slider and still can hit them out.
UncleMo
thanks. i'll DL.
Jim825
Jim's Datafile creates too many HR's.. I even lowered the HR slider and still can hit them out. I'm partial to Jim's datafile myself, but I guess you could say that I'm biased.... Here's what is in the datafile I created, which simply combines fixes that others have provided: - Trues' batting camera #4 - Trues' change to remove batter walkup music - Pared's Behind the Pitcher camera #6 - Spitoon's walk fix (which reduces the size of the "sweet spot" in the pitching meter) - Trues' changes to remove foul ball replays - Spitoon's changes to move the outfielders back - abhall's HH low batting view camera #5 - Spitoon's changes to move the infielders in - SeralMike's Walk and Strikeout Fix None of these changes affect homeruns (the default EA settings are used). As you can see, they are mainly camera changes and changes to make pitching harder. Nothing was changed to make it easier to hit home runs. mdchap
So Jim do you play the game?? Do you touch the slider at all?? If so, which ones do you use?
jpinard
So how much does Rod's version reduce HR's? Can't you jack it back up again with the gameplay tuning? Because otherwise, you're all just syaing the default physics data that EA made gicves the most realistic game...
Jim825
So Jim do you play the game?? Do you touch the slider at all?? If so, which ones do you use? Yes, I play the game and am still enjoying it. My slider settings are listed in the following thread: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...3275&highlight= Scroll down to the 4th response and you'll see the settings I use. Like everything, sliders are subjective, so what works for me may not work for you. For my style of play and my abilities, these settings give me a good mix of games (some close, some blowouts, some I win, some I lose). Others have used the sliders developed by The Big Unit. These are discussed in this thread: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...er=asc&&start=0 Here's a link to his sliders: http://www.mvpmods.com/modules.php?name=Do...iders#dldetails
