HuPeRcHiLd
Hey guys, I'm having trouble installing Jogar's new Jay's cyberfaces. I put the files into the /data directory and yet the install.bat doesn't work. I should point out that I am using Big Schmooz model.big file. Could this be the cause of the problem? If so, could I get someones model.big from someone? Every other MVP files is backed up on my PC except that one. (Yeah, I was pretty choked). Anyway, thanks for the cyberfaces and the help. Cheers
lunatic666
if ur using big schmoozrs models.big file then u cant use the installer cuz gfxpak crashes cuz of the amount of files in it
HuPeRcHiLd
Lunatic, you installed the cyberfaces with no problem? I just found a model.big on the MVP Disk 1, it was 173megs (that seems small). I'm just going to overwrite BigSchooz models.big because I want these Jay's faces badly! If I have an original models.big, the cyberfaces should install properly right? HuPeRcHiLd
Okay, I installed the original model.big, so that's taken care of. I continue to get the same problem message when I double click install.bat. The error says: *********** FATAL ERROR *********** Couldn't open packfile model.big ------- I have tried to install with the 4 files for each player in the main MVP dir, the data dir, and also /data/(player name) dir. None of these have worked. Please help
Zach
Put the files in the main MVP Baseball folder.
HuPeRcHiLd
I did put the files in the main MVP directory. That's where I got my error message. Should I put the eazip in the data dir?

Cheers I uploaded a new version of the .mbe file (1.12) (which is awaiting validation as I type this) that has his cyberfaces. Don't install his cyberfaces just plain if you are using my models.big. If you want to install his cyberfaces on your own, you will need to change the cyberface numbers as follows.... 234 for Vernon Wells 168 for Shea Hillenbrand (skin tone 2) *select 04 face to NO 690 for Frank Menechino (skin tone 3) 698 for Ken Huckaby (skin tone 2) 584 for Gregg Zaun 694 for John Ford Griffin 369 for Alex Rios (skin tone 6) 693 for Jason Frasor (skin tone1) 715 for Scott Shoeneweis 697 for Justin Speier 699 for Pete Walker 419 for David Bush 626 for Gustavo Chacin (skin tone 4) *select o4 face to YES 686 for Brandon League (skin tone 5) 696 for Josh Towers (skin 3) 714 for Russ Adams (skin tone 2) 684 for Aaron Hill Some of these numbers will already be there but others will not. If you use my rosters but use the default numbers it comes with, you will overwrite other cyberfaces & in fact when playing with other players, you will find that the faces they have are of the Toronto cyberfaces. (bad idea) Question... Before trying to install cyberfaces did you follow the instructions I put in the read me of the download on how to add cyberfaces on your own? If you did not, you will not be able to write anything new to the models.big.

None of these have worked. Please help I believe (though I am not positve) that you are getting that error because you do not have gfxpak in the folder. If you are installing via the batch file, you must also have gfxpak in the folder. If you do it with my models.big, gfxpak will not work though. My advice is, if you are using my models.big, to just wait a bit & you will have the cyberfaces with everything done for you already. (number adjustments, the files compressed) Just install it via eagraph.exe as I explain in the readme.
HuPeRcHiLd
Thanks for the help guys. I switched back to my original model.big before I tried to install these again (thanks for the help BigSchmooz). I got most of the faces working but there are still a few showing up as the default. I had to change each of the install.bat files to do so (added data/model.big to the command line) Hillenbrand, Chacin, Hill aren't working so far. I just don't know why! I have 04 to 'yes' for Chacin and 'No' for Hillenbrand. My numbers are right. I'm using Ultimate Rosters 2.4. Could that be a problem? The faces are showing up in MVPedit but not on the field. I'm puzzled to say the least.

Did you also make sure to double click on the database folder so it is open, when you are trying to export the files? Also make sure the cyberface files are really in the models.big by checking in either eagraph or biggui.
HuPeRcHiLd
Did you also make sure to double click on the database folder so it is open, when you are trying to export the files? I did this and it worked!! To a point. Chacin, Zaun, Rios, Wells, Adams, Hill all work. The problem is with Hillenbrand. (Haven't check some of th AAA guys yet) When I pinch hit Hillenbrand the game crashed. It won't even show him at the plate; it just crashes. What would you recommend me doing? I use BIGGUI to check model.big file and everything seemed fine (compressed). There were some .fsh files that weren't compressed but I don't think they are from jogars cyberfaces. It seems weird to me that it would crash for just Hillenbrand. Please help!
jogar84
I hope you got the Hillenbrand face to work, otherwise all I can tell is to reinstall. It should work, unless u got the numbering wrong or havent updated your database.
big shmooz
It seems weird to me that it would crash for just Hillenbrand. Please help! What cyberface number are you using for Hillenbrand? If you are using the original models.big & you have decompressed files, something is wrong. It may not show up as a problem right now, but sooner or later it will & your game is going to crash at some point because of these decompressed files. My advice is for you to reinstall your original models.big & then install your cyberfaces & make the models.big a read only file. Otherwise as I stated above, eventually you are going to run into problems.
flamehawk11
I have a different problem, the faces for the players (other then Hillenbrand, Menechino and Huckaby) seems to be semi-transparent, with the old face popping up behind it. You can see four eyes. Not sure how to fix it, would appreciate any help. But faces look good, great job with the patch.

All I can suggest (unless anybody has a better idea) is that you put back in the old models.big & then reinstall the new cyberfaces.
