the comp hit a ball into the gap that went to the wall, rolled along the wall until it got to the right/center corner then disappeared into the ivy. the game gave the comp a ground rule double.

i was using the giants, and no... alou did not kick it into the ivy.

That is perfect since that is the exact grounds rule at Wrigley field. A ball that disappears in the ivy is indeed a grounds rule double. All the fielder has to do is raise his hands up. In fact even if it is kicked in by the fielder it still is a double as long as he raises his hands up.

Its not a glitch. They put it in there on purpose I believe.

Once a ball was hit between my 2nd baseman and 1st baseman that was definetly gettable by the 2nd baseman. Instead of fielding it, he ran beside the ball all the way until it hit the wall in the outfield.

They got an inside the park homerun. And needless to say my 2nd baseman rode the pine the rest of the game :lmao:

I can top that, I hit a ball at Oakland Coliseum tonight dead CF 403 feet. Jim Edmonds reached up and grabbed it on the wall. Not over the wall, but on the wall. Problem? The sign, which in the replay was right where the ball was going to hit, said 400. This allowed Mulders no hitter to continue until the 10th. Too bad in the 11th, I gave up a Granny.

what if another ball pops out of the ivy as one goes in? it's still a double by the ground rules...balls can get lost in there for years it seems like...

shows how tech savvy vid games have gotten to be in the past few years.

I had a guy hit a double/triple but the CPU counted it as a HR. I was pretty pissed considering I had the ball in my glove and was throwing it in.

I once hit a ball and it went to right and hit a fan in the head. He got knocked out and fell into the Ivy and then Alou came over and kicked him. Is that a glitch?
