Finally got my first inside-the-parker

I hit my first inside-the-park home run this afternoon in my dynasty. I was playing at home against Boston when I hit a ball off the bat of Frank Catalanotto that hit the top of the wall. Trot Nixon jumped and missed it.. it caramed off the wall and landed on the ground. Nixon fell and got up to charge the ball (by this point Catalanotto was almost at third). Johnny Damon actually fielded the ball and threw it home but it was off line and up the 1B line and he slid in behind the catcher. The announcers said "he got all the way around for an inside-the-park home run" but in the box score it just scored it as a triple with no error and no RBI.

I noticed that..i don't know what's with the game, but i've had few in the park homers..and all they gave me was a friggin' triple without any errors :wall: Including one with a pitcher, can't remember who but that was a while ago

I had a inside-the-park HR scored as a homerun on mine. It was a wierd one though. Josh Beckett (of all people) hit a slow roller just over 3rd base and into the foul ground. Must have been some kind of error in the comp as all the fielders stopped and he ran (very slowly) around all the bases to score.

I had one where the guy came around to score but that was ruled an error not an inside-the-parker.. this one the announcers actually said it was an inside-the-park home run and there was no error on the play

What I hate is when you have a legitimate triple (or double), maybe hit to the LC or RC gap, and the OF mishandles it and has an error, allowing for 1 extra base, and then the game doesn't give you any hit, rather just the error. Makes me so !@#$%^& mad, because it should be scored a double or triple with a 1-base error....I mean, the ball landed in the gap...there is no way not to credit some kind of a hit.

Yeah what does "Runner 3rd out" mean when you look at your previous at-bats?

It means that the player who was at-bat didn't complete it because a runner who was on base was either thrown out or tagged out for the third out of the inning.
