Hollywood
I realize that if you change the 3rd line in your index (using nfsh tool) from fsh to qfs it compresses your fsh considerably more. Which is good right? Do you lose any quality in your images or have any ill effects from doing this?
The Big O
I've started to use it in my latest version of Oriole Park and I don't see any reduction in quality. It doesn't get you around the file size limitation for the cram32.fsh though. One other feature about it is that it doesn't let you unpack the .fsh files with NFSHTool afterward, not so sure about FSHEdit. It's a great way to reduce those .big file sizes - my Oriole Park day mod went from 24 to under 10 MB!
Hollywood
So if you release your Oriole Park 2.0 and compress your fsh with qfs, I wouldn't be able to open up your cram32 with nfsh after I downloaded it from here? I think it changes all the images to 16 bit which would probably be why the file shrinks so much. Not sure obviously... Also, what is the max size for the cram32 anyway Oriole? mcoll
big o, you said that one of the things was that after you use the (fshtool is what you'd meant) you cant unpakc a previsoucs packed fsh, i i seen that. i was able to unpack fish the was previsoely packs a qfs line it instead of the fsh line for uniforms. i've had to do that for several of mines, as ahd makese changes or currections. the key is to copy the fsh that was already compressed in this matter and put into a new a new folder, then uncompress that coped fsdh file, but the line qhere QFS shows up will still be there so you dont half use the notepad and reenter that agian. effectily will you make other chances you have two copies of the fsh f file you just copied. at least tthis this hgasd been my experice raelated to this matter. bigbully
You will not lose any quality using QFS compression. I've been using it since late last year. I believe KC found discovered this little trick - UMachines also uses it w/his unis.

I think the limit for the cram32.fsh is 13-14 MB or something around that. It seems to be around that size that the game crashes.

The only files that are really affected by QFS compression are logos.

I am also wondering if this would work better for people who are complaining that a certain stadium big is too big? It just might not make things slow down for people who don't have the best graphic setup. Thanks for your guys input!
