KerryW
I have just modified a datafile using the 'DF Compression Utility' but can't seem to compress it back to its original format to be used within the game. Can someone possibly do this for me? Thanks. The file: http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0C6Q0W6...ET32I5ASNC1RLEQ
KerryW
I figured it out...I guess I should have been using the 2005 version of this utility. I tuned Trues' newest datafile to what I consider perfection by also incorporating "abhall's Low Batting Camera"...as seen here: If someone would want to use this datafile, I guess I can upload it. Yup..The directions for modifying your datafile are included within the file's readme. You basically need to download "MVP Compression Utility 2005" in order to decompress your current datafile into a readable format. Then, simply change the variables for the 4 separate sections. It's actually much easier than it sounds. The file can be obtained here: http://www.mvpmods.com/modules.php?name=Do...tit&lid=1317#dl

sfgiantsflgators
refresh it - and then, if you have windows firewall enabled, you might have to click the little popup bar and tell it to allow the download.
sfgiantsflgators
KKKerry: does the camera mod work for you when a right-hander comes up? in my game, the camera is as such: and if you change the camera to a different one, then back, it becomes this: any ideas? KerryW
You're sure that you're using Batting Camera 5? If this only occurs when facing righties, then obviously 1 or 2 of the entries weren't modified correctly. Keep in mind that you're basically editing those designated entries for 4 different sections: R v. R, L v. L, R v. L, L v. R...So I'd go back to the datafile and make sure that it was edited properly. Of course, you may have unintentionally changed something else within a different part of the file.. If you want I can do this for you if you let me know which datafile you're using.
sfgiantsflgators
everythings fixed now - had to rework the datafile. awesome camera - props to abhall and KKKerry for the camera mod and the help, respectively. :hail:
Hollywood
Just put the camera in and love it! Great work KKKerry. I've been using EA's #1 hitters eye all along but I think I might change now. As to editing the datafile, I've just extracted the datafile.txt from the datafile.big, did the editing for the camera 5, imported it back in to the datafile.big and compressed with biggui. I've never had a problem yet compressing things with biggui WHEN dealing with just datafile. Very easy.
big shmooz
Oh man... why can't he just upload the file the normal way. I can't get it. I tried just now to click on it & it still does nothing. Can somebody please upload it to the downloads section of the datafiles? Actually... even better, can somebody post the instructions in the readme on how to get this camera angle. I use my own datafile anyway, so all I want is the camera angle.
