KerryW
Pretty shocking really he looked reasonably healthy, but yer wrong forum dude. Does it really matter? It should be left open for all members as opposed to the designated minority who has access to Left Field.

I see what you're saying but I can't move it into Left Field because he doesn't have access and it would be unfair.
pedrospecialk
He was the best, and I'll always remember him covering 9/11. R.I.P. Peter.
miles44
I always thought of him and Dan Rather and Chris Matthews all from the same wacked out leftist mold. I'm sorry for his family that he passed away though. Hopefully, he was ready to meet his Creator.

cb
 Every time I think of 9/11, I remember how I found out, I went home, turned on the television, andf the first thing I saw was Peter covering the news. Very Tragic day for television, Rest In Peace Peter, you were a TV legend.
Yankee4Life
Peter Jennings, RIP sir. This man did a great job at what he did. He did the news the right way. He'd never fit in at a place like FOX. Jennings represented ABC News very well. One thing I wonder though, why are people so quick to say "he's a Canadian", like it really matters. I didn't care if he was from Canada. I didn't change the channel because of it. I watched him because he was trustworthy, and not where he is from. Oh, and for all the people who had to say he was Canadian, Jennings became an American citizen in 2003. Why wasn't that mentioned? And yes, that's trivial too. A good person died. That's all that matters. Respect what he accomplished.

carter
One thing I wonder though, why are people so quick to say "he's a Canadian" For some reason, Canadians feel the need to be involved whenever they can. Therefore, Canadian news channels feel connected to this tragedy by mentioning that Peter Jennings was born a Canadian. It's strange. It's almost like we don't want to be left out in the suffering. Canadian news channels do this all the time. After the London bombings, Canadian reporters were saying that it's only a matter of time before Toronto gets hit. It's almost like they want to be attacked so we can share in the world's suffering. I wish that they would stop this propaganda. With regards to Mr. Jennings, the man, he lived a dignified life. May he rest in peace now.
