schmitt316
Now, I've read around here a little and read the FAQ and tried downloading that program that MarkB posted and it still didn't help, so here's my problem... Ok I downloaded the ultimate roster v 2.52 and made my edits, and went to export and I get the following message "The roster for the free agents has more than 0 players. Export Halted." So I click on OK and go into the Free Agents list and I get the following message "Run-time error '35602': Key is not unique in collection" Then I click on OK and MVPedit closes. cybernetic
it sounds like the free agents list is over limit (255 is the max)

schmitt316
Well, if you can't change the number of free agents then I guess this roster is worthless.

big shmooz
Actually I just checked & by default 2.53 has 255 free agents. So it's not over the limit (at least in the .mbe file)

Totte
I don't know what might be causing the problem. Have you tried re-installing MVPedit? I run version 2005.4 and everything works like a charm.
WinnieThaPujols
It worked when I used 2.53. Don't know what to tell you...

krawhitham
Duh??? Delete some free agents then... the limit is the limit, that's it, no matter what roster you use in mvpedit. Don't start hating on the rosters because of your own ignorance. it is a little hard to delete them when So I click on OK and go into the Free Agents list and I get the following message "Run-time error '35602': Key is not unique in collection" Then I click on OK and MVPedit closes. if you can not enter the FA list how can you delete them
krawhitham
Actually I just checked & by default 2.53 has 255 free agents. So it's not over the limit (at least in the .mbe file) the DAT file version has 3014 players in the FA pool no that is not a typo 3014 look at the roster.dat file included with the DAT files it is 490,379 bytes when the MBE is exported the roster.dat files is only 245,460 bytes they are adding players to the roster.dat file for some reason, and it might cause problems down the line since MVP has a max player problem and the game generates new rookies at the end of each season
Hory
so the moral of the story is... use the mbe file or you'll have issues
