UncleMo
I'm doing dynasty mode and I think I'm getting tired of the game. I'm not sure if it is my dynasty or the entire game so here come my questions: How many seasons do you play before either quitting or starting a different dynasty with a different team? Did you become so bored that you simply stopped playing games for the most part and only do GM stuff and just sim sim sim? Thanks for any responses. PS, maybe if I upped my difficulty level my excitement would grow. I'll find that out later.
biker_jim_uk
I'm halfway through my first month because I stop to make the unis for all the opponents in the Minors
UncleMo
HOLY crap dude you need to stop and enjoy the game. You work too hard. I thought I had it bad when I was making audio mods and generic face mods!!!! lol.
UncleMo
Can I get more responses from anyone else?
RRodkey
I like to play a "one season" dynasty mode. I pick a different team each time. I play out the 162 game schedule. I make trades, experiment with the lineup and rotation, try to improve the team over the course of one season, and then try to get into the playoffs and beyond. Then when that one season is over, I'll start a new "dynasty" with a whole new team and play out another single season. That keeps it fresh for me. mooseknucks
I play until I find the right team. I always thought it would be the White Sox or the Yankees, but I've become too dominant. Hell, I've become too dominant for the computer altogether. The only thing in the world I couldn't beat at MVP is Fuzz. I maybe some other nasty players I haven't come across. UncleMo
Alright thank you all. I'll keep upping my difficulty level and if I KEEP being bored then I'll change teams.
mooseknucks
Just play on MVP and adjusting your sliders until they're severly against you. If you keep winning, good job. If you don't, that's the game.
erbkylej
I will play one dynasty at a time with one team. I try to play with a bad or belowe-average to team because winning can get really boring. This way you know every game will be a challenge. At the end of the year I switch to a new team.
Garrett67
I am in my 3rd season (all star break) with the Tigers. I play every even date game. That way I can tell which I won by playing. I don't play as much as I did but I still play the game.
kevineasyc
I usually play for 10 years. But then I get tired of it and the fact that many of the game's current players retire. It 's really hard to trade since youn don't know many of the players and I too lazy to check their career stats.
JDF42
I was playing regular dynasties, but got bored of it, so I did the "fantasy draft." Seems really fun so far and there are a lot more close games because the teams are more evenly matched. Plus, in regular dynasty I hated how the PC would make trades and no one was on the right team anyhow, in fanstasy draft mode, who cares, no one is on the right team anyhow. ataris812
I'm almost to the All-Star break in the 2nd year of my dynasty. I still enjoy playing the game, but the thing that always bugs me is how you can't change portraits or cyberfaces in the middle of a dynasty unless the player is already assigned those numbers. So right now, I have created John Rodriguez for the Cardinals, but it has a generic portrait which really bugs me.
UncleMo
You can probably change the portrait to a blacked out one. Not sure bro.

myghty
I bought the game for my PS2 & started with Owners mode about 3 times, each with a month into it trying to figure out how to make money then I stopped because to me the Owners Mode was cr*p & because I was getting bored of it. So I sold it & bought the game for PC to give it another chance, downloaded mods from this great site, even started my dynasty using the MVPReader & now I'm having a great time playing this game! The Mods made all the difference for me. Thanks guys! I try to play most of my games but if they are blowout early on in the game then I just simm to the next game. OakleysOfCali
I've played a half season with the A's. I got bored of playing in the AL West and American League Stadiums. I've started with the Chicago Cubs. They're doing good now. Im getting up to the All-Star break in my first year.
UncleMo
I upped my difficulty level, just won my first playoff game in 2007, and I'm going to see how that goes throught the playoffs, if it makes the game challenging. I think I'll play until the end of 2010 before moving on to my Rangers dynasty.
Deathnotronic
I'll play about a week or two worth of games, say screw it, not play the game for 2 weeks or so, then go back and play another week or two worth of games, say screw it again, and keep repeating the pattern. I just get bored with it realllllly easy. Most of the time I always end around .500 or so, so it's not like I suck or anything. Luckily I didn't have to drop the $$$ to play it like you guys did as I get all my games for $8. In fact, I haven't even attempted at playing MVP since July 25th, that's how long it's been since I last played.
UncleMo
Dude, please go get a vid card, so you get get all the mods so you'll only give up sometimes. I swear your post is hilarious though.
Deathnotronic
I wouldn't even want to attempt to try and put a video card in my laptop. Now if you're talking about the PC Version, holy crap...It's been um...Since...uh...June maybe since I've played it? I was talking about the XBOX version I haven't played since July 25th...lol
Emil
I play almost every game the 1st season. Half way the 2nd season I get bored, 'cause my team is too good. I don't buy all-stars, but get the hand of some good rookies during the off-season. But the first year if the best and funniest.
