JaFFiTh
Hey, I was wondering if any of the roster makers here (llmac, hypnox, schmooz, ulitmate roster makers...) would want to try and look through my roster and hopefully find something wrong with it. I've looked through, found some custom face numbers so I changed it back to the default faces, but it still crashes. Hopefully one of you will be willing to take some of your time to look it through, let me know and I'll email you guys my roster. Hopefully you guys can do it during the weekend since I'll be gone to my girlfriend's brother's wedding, so I won't be around from probably Friday till Sunday. Thanks in advance. big shmooz
You are talking going through not only every single ballplayer you have but their hex files. That is way way way too much to do. My advice is to start over from the latest backup you have & then make sure that when you move players from a team to another team, you make sure not to have them on any of the 4 lineups before actually moving them. Also, make sure not to insert anybody into a lineup of a team that has more than 25 players at the moment you are inserting. (make sure to move out the extra players before you insert somebody into a lineup) Also, the same thing with pitchers. Always make sure to overwrite the pitcher with another pitcher instead of moving him off the team thereby moving him out of the rotation. Always make sure that you have 5 pitchers in your starting rotation no matter what you are doing & a closer too. (when replacing do not remove the pitcher, but rather OVERWRITE him with another one in his stead either from within the rotation or outside the rotation) Also, never overwrite or replace a pitcher that is either in the 1st or 5th slot in the rotation by flipping him with a different pitcher that is NOT PART of the 5 man rotation. Rather do this... First move the pitcher you are looking to replace to either the second, third, or fourth spot in the rotation. Then replace him with a different pitcher outside the rotation. (then you can reset the rotation back to your liking) To overwrite a pitcher with another pitcher in the rotation, simply drag him by left mouse clicking on the pitcher IN THE PITCHING SLOT & dragging it to the slot of the pitcher you want to move out of that slot. (& don't replace a pitcher in the rotation while you have more than 25 men on a roster). Basically what I am saying here is, don't do anything that you have to do a different action afterwards to make sure to have proper rosters & pitchers. (always be at a point in whatever move you make that you could stop at any moment & be able to play the game as is without having to do something else first.) If you follow the above instructions, & you have a crash free roster that you are starting with as a base, you should find that you no longer have any crashes. JaFFiTh
Eh, why the heck would replacing the pitcher on the 1st or 5th of the rotation affect the game? I don't think it should affect anything. I've done that quite a bit, and the game worked then. Also the lineups/pitching...I never touch them until I'm done with the transactions/movements. I don't really see why they would affect much..if it does, then the MVPedit must have small bug if that happens.
