Cyberface problems

lol; OK, having FINALLY figured out MVP EDIT, and got my rosters all correct, now comes the issue of cyber faces; I downlaoded a cyberface pack; in RAR format. Wot on EARTH is that, and how do I integrate the downloaded cyberfaces into the rosters ?

Rar is a way that compresses files to make them smaller (easier to download). You need to decompress them with a program that decompresses rar files, such as Winrar or Winace. Do a search on google for one or two of these 2 programs. Download it. Install it on your hard drive. Then use it to extract the cyberface files you downloaded. To do this simply right click on the file that is compressed with the .rar format, & there you will see an option to extract it. Then choose where on your hard drive you wish to extract it to & remember the place, so you can then retrieve the files you extracted.

As far as how to install the cyberfaces. That all depends on if you have more than 3000 files in your models.big. (based on what you are asking here, I would say you don't) So simply use the installer that comes with the cyberface file. How to do this is probably in the readme of the file you downloaded.

If you want to manually install the cyberfaces, (after you reach 3000 files, you will have no choice but to do it manually, because gfxpak which is what you need to use to install the files with an installer, ceases to work once you have 3000 files in the .big file) I posted instructions on how to do this in the announcement forum on the first page in the very first post of the sticky which I authored. It explains how to do it in literal step by step detail so a new person to this can understand it very clearly.

One note you may wish to take note of, after you install the cyberfaces, make the models.big a read only file. (if you want to later on add more files to it, simply uncheck the read only on the file.) Btw... to make it read only, you simply right click on the file you want to make read only & then click on properties. You will then see a place you can check in a box that says read only. check it & then click save. That's it. To reverse, simply do the same thing & it will uncheck the box. If you fail to do this, you will find that over time your files will become corrupted & you will start experiencing crashes in your game.
