vinny_77
Thinks we will be happy with the announcement hmm..... Perhaps EA Sports will announce their well kept secret of purchasing SEGA / Visusl Concepts and in doing so, buy the rights to MLB. Heck, EA Sports is buying everybody else...not that that's a bad thing. They make the best games, so they have more money to spend on liscensing. In any case, I can't see them giving up on MVP Baseball. P.S.-Sorry if this causes widespread rumors...it's just a guess.
Don
''I say EA should work with ESPN games to give us a blowout game, with an authentic ESPN presentation and announcers. Has anybody played Major League Baseball 2K5? THAT'S how the broadcast presentation should be. Cause if it's a really great, authentic game, the roster updates will keep people playing a lot longer, even without a new game.'' I would love to see ESPN and EA to have one combined game, but i dont think its gunna happen.
HardcoreLegend
i think the agreement was with both mlb and the player's assoication...kinda like the whole madden excusive license. Right, but the retired players players association is not included. I'm also sure that the MLB doesn't own the rights to: The Astrodome The Kingdome Riverfront Stadium Candlestick Park Or atleast exclusively, since football games were played there. It's all about getting the other liscenses that MLB has not swallowed up.

northpaw
"I would love to see ESPN and EA to have one combined game, but i dont think its gunna happen." I thought around the time of mlb getting snatched up that EA did purchase teh rights to use espn stuff.
Dan
actually, EA should sign with ESPN and use their broadcast presentation, but use EA's MVP graphics engine. The 2K5 graphics suck, where MVP's are maybe the best out there for sports. That's a dream come true. So where will this announcement be made? EA.com? OS? (where at OS, can't find the pre-announcement)?
rows24
No doubt if EA gives up on MVP baseball in will be the greatest tragedy in baseball history. They have come so far since the triple play days. MVP 2005 is the best they have done to date. They have do anything they can to MLB in EA Sports. It would be like downgrading from a 10 to a 2 to play another baseball game.
ming
Ill give you the presentation on 2k5 is pretty solid, but the gameplay and everything else is not good. Might be the "first year release" thing or the way they lost espn at the last minute and tried to cut that out that screwed it up, but they could have supported the game more than they did and whats with the no more than 3 unis and those arent even accurate half the time deal? It just isnt in the same league as mvp.
UncleMo
Ok, the title says BACK TO SCHOOL so it is to announce their college game.

UncleMo
"how would they come up with batting stances for college players? pitching motions? stadiums? " Who said they'd be exact? No they won't use World Teams, the title said BACK TO SCHOOL, and a rumor got released a couple of months ago that they would do a college game. There is nothing new here. Move it along.
