pdub
The two attachments show my normal pitching cam and a shifted pitching cam. The shift to the side only happens during a certain players at bat and when the batter comes up again during the game the camera shifts again. Can anybody help me to resolve this problem? MarkB
I have noticed that with some batters, the behind the plate camera moves forward a little for some reason. I have no idea why it does this, but it might be related to your problem. Also, I only wish I knew how to get that normal camera angle in my game. I've been looking for one like that for a while. pdub
If you want that camera angle, you will probably get that same bug I do. I thought it had something to do with battingview6leftlow because 54 had a 2 next to it but the other 3 cams had a 1 next to 54. When I changed it to 1 I got the same error. Today I played against Cincinnati and every time Adam Dunn came up to bat, no matter what pitcher I had on the mound, the camera always shifted. He got a double off me but atleast I struck him out. The weird thing is I had used a similar camera from KSM version 2.5 ESPN but I edited it because tall pitchers like Derek Lowe covered the plate with their head. When that camera whould shift it would look like the default pitching cam. After customizing it I get the half plate view. The weirdest thing is that the overlays are still where they should be in relation to the batter/pitcher, but the camera is completely to the side. If you want that angle look for DF compression utility in the downloads section. Make sure you have EA Graphics Editor or BigGui and open the datafile.big file in your "MVP Baseball 2005/data/datafile" directory. Extract datafile.txt into your "MVP Baseball 2005/data" directory. Unzip the DF compression utility into your "MVP Baseball 2005/data" directory. Run DFCompUtil.exe and click "Decompress datafile.txt into DatafileEdit.txt" Use WORDPAD to open datafileedit.txt. Do not use notepad as it can cut one line into two. Press "Ctrl-F" to open the find menu. Type in battingview6 and click find. You will see the first one starts with 0xbed1924f 97<BattingView6RightLow>......... Select the whole line up to the end. Go to my first post in this thread and select the whole 17 lines of my first pitching view. Press "Ctrl-C" to copy the text. Go back to wordpad where you have the line selected and press "Ctrl-V" to paste it over the line. Repeat the process for the three other ones-- BattingView6RightHi, BattingView6LeftLow, and BattingView6LeftHi. When your done save the file, Open DFcomputil.exe again and click on "Compress datafileEdit.txt Back Into datafile.txt" Good Luck!
MarkB
Wow, thanks! I'll give that a shot later on tonight if I meet my timetabled work done on my stadium mod. Thanks again!
MarkB
Well, no luck. It crashed at the loading screen, although I've obviously managed to screw something up in the process of editing it. Anyway, anyone have any ideas on fixing pdub's problem?

pdub
Sorry it didn't work for you, Mark. Thuglife I've only noticed it shifts for certain left handed batters. You maybe right Friedman, one of the players it shifted for was on Cincinnati - Adam Dunn(spelled correctly?). I'll edit this post when I find some more. xiberger
I think I know what your problem is: It is related to the height of the batters. The camera is only shifiting when a very tall player (say 6'6'' and upward) is at the plate , simply because that player would not fit into the screen with modified camera angles. At least that was the problem when I changed my batting and pitching cams. After lowering it a bit, everything was ok again. Give it a try!
