This just in, the Minnesota Twins have hired Jacob Park as their manager. Park, a first time manager, obviously hopes to bring a playoff season (at least) to Minnesota. When asked for comment on the new manager, fan favorite and overall leader of the club, Torii Hunter, said "I've talked with him, and he seems like a really cool guy, i think ill get along with him for years to come." Mr. Park says he will release the roster later today.

This will be the 2005 starting lineup for the Minnesota Twins:

Catcher:Joe Mauer-Joe is considered the future of the twins and should blossom into a wonderful hitter. His hitting prowess is only surpassed by his ability to catch.

First Base:Justin Morneau-Another young hitter, his patience needs to improve at the plate along with his ability to hit lefties.

Second Base:Nick Punto-Nick always gives 110%, whether its bunting for a hit or diving for balls, he is a solid infielder that looks to get his fair share of starts this season.

Shortstop:Jason Bartlett-Jason barely edged out Juan Castro in the off season, giving him the slight advantage at the starting spot. But if he shows any sign of struggling or tiring out, i will be sure to give Juan a start.

Third Base:Michael Cuddyer-Mike is quickly developing into a solid infielder, showing power swells at the plate, and always giving the Twins a great at-bat.

Outfield:Jacque Jones-Right, Torii Hunter-Center, Shannon Stewart-Left-As the self proclaimed 'Soul Patrol' there is not much to say about this electric outfield.

Designated Hitter:Lew Ford-Recent fan favorite loves hearing his name chanted at the Metrodome almost as much as he love punishing opposing pitchers. Lew keeps getting better and better, and is an important part of this lineup.

Twins ace Carlos Silva agrees to a 3-Year: $3.60M contract

The Twins' $106M salary cap still has $14.4M of space, so the Twins might look into a higher payed 'impact bat'
