AlexTony
First and foremost from the team a 'THANK YOU' to ALL participants that helped create the different parts of this mod so to come together to form 'Total Classics' Phase 3 This thread is started as to cover where the TC mod is at and what 'possible' changes may incur in 60 to 90 days. We are not concerned with team selections, nor batting stances or batting orders. Please refrain from these questions. Also, remember you can alter some of the latter with the MVP Edit. Thoughts and reviews are welcome here also Mind you this is 'not' perfection but a baseball sim of teams and players of yesterday ........... .MBE ROSTERS: Where at: Much research has been put into line ups, positions, attributes and even batting orders & rotations Possible Changes: Pitch selections for pitchers. 'IF' you know for sure you may suggest here. Will try to add later ............ LOGO'S: Where at: Basically all set and accounted for Possible changes: Same ............ UNIFORMS: Where at: We have used in each instance in game and modded uni's that are the closest if not the same for the represented years Possible changes: There are some that can still be added. ex. '75 Boston away, '71 Pittsburgh home, '46 St L home and away, etc IF they are created, UL and permitted to use we may add them ............ STADIUMS: Where at: A couple additions Possible changes: If created, playable, UL and permitted to use we may add. Also upgraded parks ............ FACES: where at: Many have been added Possible changes: If created, UL and permitted to use we may add them ............ PICS: Where at: Close to if not maxed out Possible changes: Same ............ AUDIO: Where at: Many additions, most that can be done have been. They must come from in game to create Possible changes: Close to if not maxed out ............ That is it. Use a little imagination to boot and enjoy some games!

Mazzlow
wow, thats all I can say. The New Logos- Sick The New Teams- Sick The New Portraits- Sick The New Everything- Sick and my favorite, the New Music- Totally Sick! my only complaint... With the music (lol yeah i had to go far to find a mistake) Add more actuall songs, instead of some of thoes replacements are like a miniute long. The real songs you have in there are awesome, jsut more of that. (lol thats the only problem I Had)
jewgrass
Awesome job guys, love it! Can one of you guys give us a list of all the modded stadiums that are included in TC3? It'd be a million times easier than downloading them all and installing them again. Thanks.
rskjackson
Downloaded the mod and installed...very impressed! I'm a newbie to the MVP game but enjoy it alot. I have a couple of questions, and if these are answered elswhere...please excuse me and advise as to where I can find the answers. (1) Is there a way to have both the Total Classics and regular game run? In other words, Total Classics now runs and I can't get back to the current game. The files were backed up, but would I have to uninstall Total Classics to be able to run the 2005 teams? (2) Some of the faces on the players are very distorted...faces are split in the middles with parts on each side. This wasn't a problem with the 2005 teams, except for Royals manager Buddy Bell...who's face was all over the place. (But what Royals fan wouldn't understand that?) Everything installed and loads fine, but I would like to be able to go quickly to the regular game and to find a solution to the face problem. Thanks for the help and work of everyone in this group! AlexTony
I am not sure about the faces being split. have not seen this before but, with the regular game IF you backed up the files (top box of three says 'Back up Original Files!') at the Total Classics install option from the get go (the little Red cap fellow icon in the directory) all you should need to do is hit the third box 'Install Original files!' it will take a couple minutes and then just go into the game
rskjackson
Thanks for the reply...I did back-up the original files. I was curious as to if there was a way to simply have both games without having to re-install or un-install files anytime I wanted to revert back to the original game or play the Classics. If anyone has any ideas on the split and/or distorted faces, I would appreciate a suggestion. My video card is the Nvidia FX5200 and has played the game great except for the face problem mentioned in my previous post. Again, the only problem I saw with the original files was an updated roster I installed that included Buddy Bell as the Royals manager, and his face was a mess. Mazzlow
or you could be linke me and have 2 versions of MVP 05 one "Total Classics" and one "MVP Baseball 2005"
rskjackson
That was my next idea...would you explain how you set that up? I have two seperate hard drives on my computer, so I presume I could go that direction?
Mazzlow
That was my next idea...would you explain how you set that up? I have two seperate hard drives on my computer, so I presume I could go that direction? well you COULD... or be like me and 1) go to "c:/Program Files/EA Sports" 2) right click on the unmodded "MVP Baseball 2005" folder 3) click "Copy" 4) somewhere in that same folder right click 5) click "Paste" 6) then when thats done, right click on "Copy Of MVP Baseball 2005" 7) click "Rename" type in "Total Classics 2005" 9) install the total classics mod to "c:/Program Files/EA Sports/Total Classics 2005" then when you want to play normal MVP 05, just click the .exe in the "MVP Baseball 2005" folder, or if you want to play Total Classics just click the .exe in the "Total Classics 2005" folder. thats how I did it :)
rskjackson
Sounds like a plan to me (and much better than what I was thinking about doing). Since I've already installed Total Classics 2005, will I need to uninstall that and reinstall the original files, before following what you do? Sidewinder
Great idea on the separate installs, as I was wondering the same thing. One question though.... what about the MVP files in the C:Documents and Settingsuser nameMy DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005 folder? Should those be duplicated and renamed to Total Classics too? rskjackson
I'm going to give this a try when I get the chance...Now, if someone can just help me out with the split faces on some of the players I mentioned in my earlier message, I'll be set! jg2977
I just downloaded it, and I was having so much fun! I played a couple of games so far - ('27 Yankees vs. '94 Expos, and '18 Red Sox vs. '69 Pilots - hilarious stuff!) I've got some messed-up looking faces though. Doesn't matter to me, as in the end it's having the actual players and ratings that count.
danc
Well, I hope I can say this without getting too much flack. First off it is an amazing work and exactly what I expected from a bunch of dedicated and quality folks. Thank you. I am having a blast. I sure would be nice if in some future release there could be some type of alignment in the franchise structure. Not perfect but as close as possible with the teams involved. Like: MLB - 79 pirates AAA - 71 pirates AA- 60 pirates A- 09 pirates I would suppose that this would be an incredible amount of work but it would personally improve the mod. Great work. Thanks again. capa
Realigning the teams can be done in MVPEDIT as long as you know the original Minor league structure...in other words, what AAA, AA and A teams are associated with what ML clubs. That's the easy part. The hard part is reassigning all the uniforms, portraits, .loc file changes, and stadiums. That's the time consuming piece. I think only Fuzz has the utilities for uniform reassignment...

I think only Fuzz has the utilities for uniform reassignment..." Exactly. Thats probably why it wasn't done already. I was thinking that even a horizontal organization would be nice. All 00-20 Teams in A. All 20-60 Teams in AA. ETC. I have not really looking into this specifically but if someone wanted to do the hard work (not I said the "goat") I could come up with a couple suggestions using the teams in the mod. I am loving this mod BTW
TobiasLS
I found this and I thought you should know. This is Tony Gwynn of the 98 Padres. I believe it says Missing Texture on his face. This TC3 is amazing guys. Great work!
AlexTony
this happens 'some' of the time. it may be due to the amount of memory for some of the stadiums. try the same player again and see what happens
