Why would they add the ability to trade draft picks when you can't do that in MLB?

Anyway, baseball games should include cash in deals, but I guess that's meant for the future when they have a full "General Manager Mode".

That's true for sure. I'd love to be able to absorb salary and send cash to make deals. Too bad there will be no MVP baseball anymore

More than anything I would like to see an expanded roster in September and the ability to trade draft picks.

you can't trade draft picks in real life. they should make you lose picks if you sign FA like in real life.

a 40-man roster mod would be the best ever mod if done, but i would prefer a new game.

You know, before I came to this site, and found out that the # of players on a roster is hard coded into the game, I spent literally 12 hours looking in the datafile to see if I could switch it there.

you guys like it that much but only play one game exhibitions?

That's what I do. What's wrong with that?

I could turn the question around and ask guys who play in GM or owner mode a similar question. Don't you want to be able to chose who your opponent is and where you get to play?

I don't feel like I'm losing out by playing one game exhibitions. If I want to play 3-game series, I'll play the same teams 3 times in a row. If not, I'll move onto another team (or teams). I've always played baseball games this way. I'm not tied to a particular schedule or set of opponents and can play as (or against) any team I want in any stadium I want. That's the beauty of this game -- there's no "wrong" way to play.

I do have to say that recently I have changed my gaming style a bit. I used to always play Total Classics as a Yankees team (and I have plenty to choose from). Recently I've started becoming "adventurous" and have played AS other teams. Last week, I played a great game with the 1905 NY Giants against the 1910 Philadelphia A's.

My friend and I have a draft every week then play a 7 game series on the weekend. It's like crack for us. I wish they would allow u to play a series with a friend and keep stats for the series a la the other modes. Other than that, simply upgrading stats and ratings will serve me well for 2006.
