wilmer007
I tried those. All stars are no good to me and that Pro one on the first page is not good enough. I had one that changed the last 3 slider aswell so i know that's not it.
ixcuincle
I feel your pain. I tried some of those pro sliders yet baserunners continue to try for 2nd without my permission , and the batting contact/batting power sliders have no effect. Things have gotten so bad I must sadly lower my playing level to rookie to try to get a feel for this game and see if i can finally hit the ball. ming
I play on this level and tweak the sliders every few games. Hard to find the right "set". This is after about 200 games or so. If you are getting better, the sliders are getting easier. Dont want to seem like a jerk, but you just have to play with them.
ming
Sorry to double post, but if you are wanting better hitting, turn up the cpu throw strikes slider.
Jim825
Using my datafile version 3 (you can download it at http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=2023.html), the settings I use are shown below. For my style of play, and my abilities, they give me good games. Naturally, they may not work the same for others. The infielder and outfielder speed settings allow me to see more balls drop in for hits, but don't let everything get through. mrmariner
If you play on Pro, like I do. You need: 1. Jim825's datafile 2. Thebigunit's sliders Jim825's datafile is great, you will see alot of different things happen>Example: The infielders do not run 2 miles into the outfield to catch a pop up. The outfielders don't cut off every ball hit to them, so you can get a triple with a hit to the gap sometimes. The first time I played a game with this datafile I saw alot. TheBigUnits sliders are a good starting point. You can always adjust the sliders to your kind of game play. Both files are found here, at the best MVP Baseball site!! MattStairmaster
I can't find TheBigUnit's sliders. I tried searching, but it just returns way too many results, none of which have the title "TheBigUnit's sliders thread," so am I to assume there is not a thread or download for his sliders, and they are just hidden away in the middle of some topic? Could somebody help me out and provide a link, please?

Gordo
Can anyone suggest good/sim type Human v. Human sliders for when I do direct IP 2 IP play?
ixcuincle
Don't know. This is amazing...on pro my hitters get absolutely no contact and my pitching gets rocked. I was just playing a 5 inning game and I had to quit early because I was absolutely livid at the lack of offense. Even as the Yankees it is impossible to get consistent hits (even when hitting contact and power are both at 50) , home runs are extremely rare , and every pitcher throws like he's Cy Young. I have been playing several games as the Yankees in exhibition hoping their explosive offense would show up in Pro , but amazingly it didn't! About 95% of the time the Yankees swing the bats they either ground out or weakly fly out , and I was shut out in all 5 games with the exception of 1...this game is starting to really anger me. The funny thing is when I change to Rookie I can't lose and outhit the competition 14-2 but on Pro I can't score... I guess I'm asking here how to hit more home runs and stop swinging at the crazy sliders and curveballs that the opponent keeps throwing out of the strike zone. Gordo
Just used BigUnits sliders with some modifications for me. Had a great game 1 using the CWS, though lost because I couldn't pick the correct fielder when the ball went to the fence. But a great back and forth game. I feel I have a chance to compete for once! Thanks!
tomwebb
Which datafile and slider setting is suitable for CPU vs. CPU play??? Sometimes I don't want to play all the games in a season myself I just let the CPU do the work. I tried different slider settings but most of the time the games had to many base hits and to many HR's. The Pitch count was very low too. I would apprechiate it I someone could help me with that issue.
