Yankees win 1-0 in the bottom of the 18th inning Game 2: Yankees win 2-1 in the bottom of the 16th inning Two amazing games. More than once each team had a runner in scoring position with less than 2 outs and could not take advantage of it. That was coincidentally the matchup later that year in real life between the Marlins and Yankees , and we all know the outcome of that.
