Grub
actually black rectangle, but anyway. How do I fix this? It's really weird. The portrait is just a large black rectangle. Did I mess up in the alpha channels somewhere? If anyone wants the graphic to take a look at, let me know. Thanks. EDIT: BTW, I wanted to let everyone that I kept on having problems with it crashing before I found out that you had to change the resolution setting with another program since apparently photoshop messes it up. After converting it and the graphic looking ok, the game loads, but it's a black square. Perhaps the conversion removed/messed up the alpha channels? jogar84
Use HEX EDITOR to change the unique ID number of the FSH file.
Grub
Unique ID? Hm.. How does that tie in to it being a black rectangle?
jogar84
Unique ID? Hm.. How does that tie in to it being a black rectangle? The game cant read ur portrait if the ID in the fsh is different. So change it to one your using.
Grub
To clarify, the unique ID is different than the filename I give it and then make the player use in MVPEdit, right?
xiberger
Each portrait has a unique number in MVP, so your custom portrait (the fsh file to be exact) must have an attachment called "name" in which the number (ID) of the portrait is defined. Otherwise it won't work in the game...
Grub
er.. That's already set up, I'm pretty sure.

Grub
what's the status?
xiberger
what's the status? Done. I didn't know which ID you wanted the portrait to have, though. Your download says 8636, but in your file the number is 8635. Anyway, I modified the file for both IDs, enjoy: http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/~a9909751/mvp/Misc/8635.fsh http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/~a9909751/mvp/Misc/8636.fsh btw, your file was pretty much ok, but the attachment "bin attach" was kinda screwed up. Plus your file wasn't compressed, but I took care of that as well. Hope it works!
