sirscotty
Ok, I have searched all over for this and I am sure it is easy, and I am just overlooking it... :wall: What determines if a players name and or number are displayed on the back of the jersey? Also, is it possble to put the number on the thigh the way one of the old pale hose (GO TRRIBE!!) uniform had years ago?? I have MVP Studio 05 and EAedit. what am i missing? Please help!!! stecropper
The slot the uniform is placed/assigned in/to determines where the numbers appear. The slot also determines if the players name will show on the back of the jersey but to show up if the slot has it turned on the uniform must also have visible fonts assigned to the jersey set. I do not think anyone has figured out how to change these things including adding where a number is shown.

stecropper
If you download and experiment with FuzZ's MVPStudio then these slots would mean something. Basically each team has something like 12 different slots that uniforms can be placed into. Each slot has a predetermined location for numbers (i.e. either on back only, on back and somewhere's on the front and in some cases no numbers at all). Each slot also has predetermined names appearing or not on back of jersey. A uniform set is compriesed of 3 files. One being the selection picture for the uniform, another being the fonts used for letters and numbers and the last being the various pieces that make up the uniform. Thus if you have a slot that is predetermined to show names on the back you must also have a font file for that uniform that actually has the letters and numbers in it. Because some font files have transparent letters then if you use that type of file within a slot that allows for names to appear they still will not appear. Likewise if you use a font file that does have nontransparent numbers and letters but use it in a slot that does not allow names to show then they will not show. Hopefully this helps. As far as numbers on sleeves or on different areas of the front of the jersey they too are predetermined by each slot. Even the color of the number on the front of the jersey is predetermined as well. Example being the Dodgers red number on the front and blue on the back. The font file would have blue numbers but if you used it in that particular Dodger uniform slot the front numbers would still be red. Now if you used a font file that had green numbers then the ones on the back would be green but the ones on the front would still be red. No one has been able to break the code to change these switching from one slot to another.
sirscotty
ok, i got it. that would explain why the indians red and blue jerseys from the 70s do not have the names on the back, and the moders never put them in. thanks for the help.
