Good for a Monday: "What Won't Kill You Eats Gas" by Reggie & the Full Effect.

That is awesome man...Purely awesome...I get to go see those guys coming up on their own HEADLINING TOUR in a couple months...It's going to be awesome...Especially when they play Raining Blood and Apocalypse WOW, and everything else...So my song of the day is another Reggie & the Full Effect song, and that one is, "Raining Blood" =)

Ok, new day, new song...This time from a guy right up the road in Kingston, NY, who happens to be the drummer in the band Coheed & Cambria

"My War Your Problem" - Weerd Science

All you fans of rap, you should definately take a listen to this song. I honestly think you'll enjoy it.

Fredro Starr -What If

I remember when I first heard only a minute of this track on a radio show I had recorded and played it back to back for a few days until I managed to track the full version down.

Great track. One of those theoretical tracks full of questions such as "What if Jordan never had Scottie", "What if history was changed, slavery reversed, where black ladies see white boys and clench their purse", "What if Ewing would have dunked it instead of fading away? The Knicks would have been the champs and he wouldn't have got traded away" and "What if Run never met D? Would I have been an M.C.?"

Not heard it in years, too.

EDIT - Lyrics.

Not perfect, but reasonably close.

Another fire track. Edo G and Masta Ace - Wishing.

Lyrics;

[Masta Ace]

Yeah, I wish the President would stop lyin'

Black babies would stop cryin'

And you brothers would stop dyin'

I wish the police would stop killin'

Politicans stop stealin' and actin' like they not dealin'

When they know they got bricks on the street

At the country club, fixin' to eat

I can see 'em now

I wish we'd get this **** figured out

And stop goin' the trigger route

And actin' all niggered out

On the block with the nine cocked

I wish we try and stop, stop pushin' for the prime box

I wish we wasn't so obsessed with death

Tell me is it cuz we blessed with less?

I don't know really

I wish the world was safer, I'm scared to travel abroad

That's why I travel with the Lord

I wish a cab would stop for me in the rain

I know you wanna call me insane

I'm a dreamer

[Edo G]

I wish my pops didn't die when I was seven years old

If there's life after death, is Heaven this cold?

I wish I could wipe the tears of all the cryin' mothers

Wish New York niggas didn't start flyin' colors

I wish my people stop avoidin' the truth

BET stop poisonin' youth

We need changes for teenagers as they go through phases

More than just a concrete jungle, the world got green acres

I wish I'd been more diligent

Smart cats rhyme militant

The fresh rhyme ignorant

I wish the world didn't give us funny looks

Think we all just dummies and crooks

Athletes and entertainers singin' hooks

We need more black babies that's in the books (read on)

I wish God could take away the pain

I know you wanna call me insane

I'm a dreamer

[Edo G]

I wish I didn't get searched when I come through customs

I wish Christians stop beefin' with Muslims

Wish the poor didn't have to take welfare

Wish America had universal health care

Cuz ain't no help here

In a country where we don't fight fair

The American Dream becomes a nightmare

It's all hype here

And on this track, bust all I might bear

I wish Bush just get out of office (get out!)

Before he start World War III and try to off us

It won't cost them, but it will cost us

And right now, believe me, you lost us

Just heard it on The Boondocks Martin Luther King Jr. episode.

Refuge - Matisyahu

I'm definatly buying into into the Matisyahu craze, always kinda liked the reggae feel and he adds just enough understandable lyrics into it to make it great.

Do For Love - Tupac

MarkB should know...classic jam.

No doubt, that's hot. I was listening to his last interview on the way home from work.

Track of the day is Rakim - The 18th Letter.

I really need to get some of this guy's solo albums.
