Could somebody make a new dodger stadium mod? I would love to see the changes it recently went through in the game. Thanks! Also, if I wanted to try to modify a stadium for my game: For example: SBC Park by Pirate what program do I need to install from this site? any help would be appriciated.

Angels-

There have been a bunch of Dodger stadium requests, and so far no action, so until someone announces it, I would remain content with the excellent 2004 version.

As for stadium modification, look in the mvpmods.com FAQ, and look for Pirate's oedit tutorial. Editing stadiums is capital-h Hard, but most definitely worth it when you see the results.

just keep plugging away at it. For the first month, I would just keep opening up a park, screwing around, and checking the results (hint, just alt-tab out of the game and make the changes). Once I started to get a feel for everything, it really all clicked together. At this point I've edited almost every single thing possible in a stadium, so it is possible.

You just need to be patient, and take baby steps. I started by removing the green monster seats in Fenway because that's the park I know best. You should try messing with the scoreboard or seating at the Big A. Just do something easy to check at a place you know like the back of your hand.

Say, you guys know which ,if any, stadiums have not been modded?

As far as I know, the night version of Turner Field is the only stadium that has not been touched by modders yet. But, thank God, Hory's already at it:

Also, the custom crowd mod is really cool for that extra zing in any stadium.

Thanks.

Thanks Sean O for the great advice. But on a side note when I looked at Pirate's OEdit tutorial last night it was for mvp 2004 and there were some things in the tutorial that had me shaking my head and saying"What am I supposed to do next?" If it's possible could you sort of post a little help for me to understand how to do this a little better?

I'll be happy to do so, but you'll have to tell me what you're having trouble with.

But before you post anything, i just want to make sure you're clear that most of the forward progress you'll make on learning oedit will take place by just messing around with it. I'm more than happy to offer help to you on oedit, but I won't lead you through every step, since everything is trial and error.

Best of luck.

Sean - bro, Trues should put this quote directly on the homepage! It applies not only to OEdit but to this entire site!

What Sean said about modding with O-edit goes to all of you who ask me about uniform modding.

Just keep plugging, there were plenty of times I had no idea what I was doing. remember that oedit mirrors how the stadium actually looks, so what appears to be left field in oedit is actually right field, and vice versa. Make a change, load it in the game, and see what happens. It's the only way to go.

Sean the thing that I'd like to do is edit SBC Park's day and night's scoreboard, Jacobs Field day and night jumbotron so that I can see the player's portrait of who's up because Pirate covered it up, Dodger Stadium day and night I want to try and do the changes they did this year and to try and change Petco Park a little bit like putting the retired numbers up and try and edit the Friar Vision moniter and the scoreboards and stuff. There are just some things I can't quite get I really need an example. :help:

Sorry, didn't see these posts. As for cyberfaces, or anything outside of stadiums, I know absolutely nothing. I'm a park guy.

As for jumbovision movement, that gets to be pretty advanced stuff. Honestly it would take a serious effort to get them back in their original position, so I would try for something a little more basic.

The oedit tutorial will show you how to get into the graphics section of the park, by looking in the cram32.fsh file. You should see the scoreboards in there, then you can just open them up in a paint program to your liking.

In terms of adding retired numbers, you're going to have get thrifty with the vertices. The best way is to screw around with the file by finding a rectangle not in use, then just edit the graphics for that and put it where you want. So I'd start by finding some graphic inside the park you don't need, then just try to locate it in oedit. It'll take some getting used to, but you eventually learn how to pinpoint things.

Hey Pirate! Could you possibly uncover the big Indians sign you put over the jumbotron for Jacobs Field day and night? I'd like to be able to see the player's portraits when I play there. Thanks!
