The greatest season........gone?

Hello again guys Back in July I started this thread:

I was so excited and even thought I would continue to write throughout the playoffs, but i'm a lazy lurker at heart, sorry.

I post now because I have to tell someone my tragic story, in order to get closure and begin anew.

I played that season all the way through, and even thought if I lost in the playoffs it still was the greatest season I ever had! besides the offseason will be really fun! Well I faced the Angels in the wildcard and beat them in the 14th inning of game 5, wow what a series!! It got easier, I faced Boston next and took them 4-2, and swept the Cards in the series!! I did it I played 177 games and won the world series WOO HOO! I was on top of my Sim-sport world and started looking forward to the offseason more and more. When the time came I did it all out, notepad and pencil I went through each phase as if I were a true GM and when I was finally satisfied that I had all the angles covered I hit 'Begin next season' and it...crashed :cry: , NO!! I tried everything and searched every forum but it was gone my heart sunk and I couldn't even look at the MVP box without getting misty, I shelved it and moved on.

2 months later> When it started nearing playoff time I got the bug again. I reinstalled and found all my favorite stadiums, including the new 2005 Yankee! I also grabbed the Big Shmooze combo, with uni's rosters etc...One thing that drove me nuts was pitching. So I needed to fix the walk thing and after extensive searches and playtesting DATA files I finally cobbled one together with the things that suited my style of play (A big thanks to Serial Mike) Sliders came easy after playing 177 games...lol I selected the Yankees again but had to sim through the first season, I just couldn't do it again. I used the pre-season too tweak sliders DATA etc... and I throw the first pitch out tonight! Feels just like spring again :wtg:

wow! sorry about the first part on how you lost your season. that really has to be a heartbreaker. but congrats on the 2nd part. i hope it wont crash and you will have the greatest season evar!
