rolliefingers08
First of all, I'll apologise because I'm sure this has been posted before. I tried the search tool and I got about 800 pages worth of results, and after the first few were duds, I wasn't about to go through every page. Hopefully nobody gets too anal on me here... I'm starting a new dynasty with the A's, and I want to begin the season with some realism. I think it's more realistic to start the season with Octavio Dotel and Erubiel Durazo on my roster, and then injure them for the entire season (how it is in real life), than to trade them right now, which I would do otherwise. So is this possible? I'm thinking something in ArtMoney that would change number of injury days. Of course, would that mean that the player has to be injured first before it can be changed? Am I going to have Durazo and Dotel flopping all over the field in the first game or two before they break something? Hopefully this can be done, otherwise I'll just go out and trade them. Hory
You could use mvpedit to turn the durability of those players down to nothing and they would (hopefully) get injured in the first game or two
rolliefingers08
and then would it be editable in ArtMoney to make it a 200-day injury, or has nobody been able to do this yet?
jonalano013
OR... wat you could also do is, try getting Durazo on base, and when you hit into a dp, make sure u slide hard into 2nd base so u can collide with the fielder. he'll most likely get injured. that happens to me all the time, so i barely try to break dp's. (try putting the baserunning injury up to like 50 or w/e. just for that particular part). and as for Dotel, hummm.... i really dont know how to get a pitcher injured. but try doing wat Hory said, use MVPEdit to put his durability down to nothing. gl!! -jon-
Sarginto
Turn down Dotel's durability to 0 and bring him into the game without warming up. Then try and throw hard pitches. I think the less stamina your guy has when he pitches, the more prone to injury he is.
Sean O
What I would do is mvpedit their contracts to be AA indispensible, and just don't call them up. They won't be upset down in AA, and it'll be more realistic. I know this is what Shmooz or Ultimate Rosters did with Escobar on the Angels. rolliefingers08
well, first AAA game and i brought dotel in after the first batter without any warmup. he pitched the next 8.1 throwing like 80 pitches before i gave up and managed the rest of the game. as for durazo, i tried to get him flopping all over the place, and still couldn't injure either of them. what i think i may do is change their ratings down to nothing, release them, then resign them to A contracts, and have them ride the pine there. then make their ratings good again at the end of the year and let them go as free agents.
