Yankeesrulz
Yankees Drop the Series Finale vs. the Orioles 5-3 Yankees Season Record Now 6-6 Rich Harden's replacement in the rotation Felix Diaz got rocked again, he was charged to 5 ER in 6 innings, allowing three homeruns falling to 0-2 in his first two starts since being called up. The Yankees ended up losing 5-3, Mike Hampton held the Yankees to two runs in 7 innings of work, Yankees had a rally going in the 9th of Orioles Closer Scott Barcik but the Yanks fell short. Joe Torre was asked if he was worried about having Felix Diaz strugging in his first two starts and he said ''He's the best we got from AAA and plus he's 25 years old. The only offense the Yanees got was RBI Singles by Kevin Mench in the 1st and Adam Kennedy in the 6th inning, the run scored in the 9th was via error. NYY L-(0-2)Felix Diaz 6 IP 5 ER 3 K's 3 HR David Weathers 1.1 IP 1 H 1 K JC Romero 0.2 IP 1 H BAL W-(2-1)Mike Hampton 7 IP 6 H 2 ER 1 K Lance Carter 1 IP S-(4)Scott Barcik I IP 2 H 1 R Observations: My bullpen has been really solid so far, has been able to hold the fort, our pitching has been there but our offense has scuffled in RISP. The Yankees will be in search for a big bat in the market pretty soon. Standings Update: Yankees are 1.5 GB from the First Place Jays in the AL East Division
