HarleyRider
I did a search and didn't find this topic anywhere. So here's my question: Is it possible to increase(force)the game resolution to 1600 x 1200 x 32? I would love to play it at this graphic level. I.m pretty sure my system could handle it. Thanks alot. Cheers!!!

krawhitham
Yes... it is possible but it involves some work... Download and install the Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft. App. Compatibility Toolkit After it is installed, on the start menu, go to "All Programs/Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 4.0/Tools" and run the Compatibility Administrator. When the program opens, make sure New Database is highlighted under Custom Databases, and click the Fix button. In the "Name of program to be fixed" box, type mvp2005. Now, click the browse button, and select the mvp2005.exe in your mvp2005 install directory. Click Next. Under "Operating System Modes" select None. Click Next. In the "Compatibility Fixes" box, check DelayDLLInit, and click the Parameters button. In the "Command Line" box, type d3d9.dll and click OK. (You can click the "Test Run" button to make sure it is working.) Click Next. Click Finish. Click the Save button, name it mvp2005, and click OK. On the File menu, select Install. Close the Compatibilty Administrator. OK I did all that and still do not see 1600x1200 as an option

big shmooz
OK I did all that and still do not see 1600x1200 as an option I apologize. I don't know why it did not work for you. One more thing, do you have windows SP2 installed? I think you need to have SP2 in order for this to work.

Did this work for you? Any more info appreciated. Cheers!!! I myself did not try it. The info I posted was posted on the web regarding silent hunter 3 to change the resolution for it (which has the same issue that the max resolution is 1280 x 1024). I merely changed the parts in the info from SH3 to MVP 2005. I apologize if this did not work. Next time I will know not to do this unless I test it out first myself. I am deeply embarrassed & truly apologize to you & to krawhitham for sending you on a wild goose chase.
Grub
If only we could decrypt the profiles we could just change it there.
