AlexDeGuy
I guess everyone is using gamepads, but anyway... First, what's the difference between Cutoff Throw and Relay Throw? In MVP 2004 there was only Cutoff, now it's got renamed to Relay, but then what is Cutoff for? Second, I can't get NumpadEnter to work as Relay throw. The throw meters comes up, but doesn't move, and the ball doesn't leave hand no matter how long I keep the key pressed. Of course, I can change the key assignment, but I got used to NPEnter in MVP2004 and would like to keep these settings. Looks as if NPEnter is bound to fake throw, and I can't change this. Anyone else had some similar problems with NPEnter?
ixcuincle
you and me are probably the only ones who stay with the keyboard I don't know the difference between cutoff and relay throw. I have fielding set at automatic by the computer , it's pretty hard to field with the keyboard. I would assume a cutoff throw is when the left fielder throws to 2nd baseman and then he throws to the catcher.
Valery Prikhodko
ixcuincle, You describe relay play. Look at dictionary: --- 1. cutoff (n) the interception by an infielder of a throw from the outfield to home plate. SYNONYMS: (cut-off) --- 1. cutoff throw (n) a throw from an outfielder to an infielder (the cutoff man) during a play. SYNONYMS: (cut-off throw) --- 1. relay (vt) (of an infielder) to catch a throw from an outfielder and quickly throw to another infielder in an attempt to throw out a base runner. 2. relay (n) a play in which an infielder receives a throw from an outfielder and quickly throws to another infielder in an attempt to throw out a base runner. 1. relay throw (n) a throw made by an infielder after receiving a throw from an outfielder. Valery Prikhodko
AlexDeGuy. In you controller.cfg find VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= key sc_numpadenter, and change on another button. Must work fine.
AlexDeGuy
you and me are probably the only ones who stay with the keyboard I just don't like gamepads. Besides, they cost money that I'd rather spend somewhere else. :-)
