ee
I'm having a problem with creating portraits. I was adding some of the players the Cubs drafted this year, such as Eric Patterson. I took his picture, created a 128x128 GIF, with everything besides his face transparent. I then created an fsh with FshEd, and the GIF plugin. Doing this - I get a new fsh, which I made 7967.fsh, I unpacked it just to be sure, and it had the 0000.bmp and 0000-a.bmp both present. I mapped his photo ID to 7967 using MVPedit, and the photo shows there fine.... but once I get into the game, his photo is just an all-black box. Where am I going wrong? Cris987
There's 2 ways i kno to create new fshs : 1) Make any old 128 x 128 bmp. Open MVPEdit, goto that player (or a player with no photo/audio number) and enter the number desired. Wait for 'bout 5 seconds, and the photo screen will return a "no picture found". Click on that, and a window will pop up. Click on "new picture". Find that 128 x 128 bmp u made and double click on it. Wait for 'bout 20 seconds for it to load. After it finishes loading, you will find that the fsh is made inside portrait.big. Extract it using EAGE. Import your transparent pic with FshEdit Repack. Done 2) Extract any old fsh from portrait.big, and make a copy of it. Rename it the number you want (in your case, 7967.fsh). Download and install textpad ( I think) , and open the .fsh with that. You'll find all these gibberish, but you'll also find 2 of the original number. Change them to your desired one - 7967. Save. Repack. Done. I have never tried the second method, hope it works. ee
Thanks Cris! I did your method, by changing the picture in MVPEdit (I never even realized you could click on the photo box until you said that), and this worked! But I didn't use fshEdit at all, I also clicked the box for the Alpha image, and imported that too. I don't get why MVPEdit works, but packing it myself doesn't! The picture even showed fine in MVPEdit... Oh well, it works, shouldn't worry why one way works better than another. Thanks Cris, I appreciate it.
