More Strikeouts

Hi, I have pitcher who throws around 99+ batters kills it. How can I get more misses and strikeouts?

just like real life, batters in the game have holes in their swings.

lefties are up and in and righties are down and away.

move your pitches to the corners and low, and switch types, speeds, and combinations.

Try to hit the corners to get your strikes. When the count is 0-2 or 1-2, feel free to throw a high fast ball (above strike zone) a curve ball that goes out of the zone or a slider to try to get the batter to chase. Don't just blindly throw the ball everywhere, there is a strategy. And don't repeat the same pitch sequence for every batter because they'll figure out eventually, so mix things up. For a good game, I can get 10 strikeouts in the game, but normally I can get somewhere between 5 and 10, which is fairly realistic.

and don't forget about the "rising" fastball - high heat just out of the zone with two strikes is a great strikeout pitch.

I get 8-10 Ks with Halladay on average. Its all about what you do on 2 strikes...go out of the zone. Use fastball to set up low curves, and away sliders etc.

also, mix up pitch types and speeds is very important. It throws off the batter's timing. I often use the sequence fastball-changeup and a breaking pitch to get the batter to chase.

my out pitches are high or low change. Out of the zone. Low enough where if they dont swing, its s3, and if they do, its 1-10 odds they'll hit it. If high, 70% of the time, they'll be handcuffed.
