Gordo
Is there any way to slow down the time in-between pitches for cpu? I don't want to play all night but this is ridiculously fast! Also, why when I'm putting fielding circle to "ON" I don't see it?
big shmooz
Yes there is. Go to the option in the gameplay tuning called "pitch speed". Lower the number to get more time in between pitches. In answer to your second question, turn on "fielding aid" in the gameplay options. This will let you see the circle.
Jeeper
OMG I thought "pitch speed" was the speed the ball moved. DOH!

stecropper
It is the velocity of the Pitch. Raising it will also generate more long balls while lowering it will generate fewer. It doesn't change the radar gun speed shown but only changes the physics of it all. At least that has been my experience with this slider and I have read it else where too. Gordo
Ya, it seems to be the perceived speed of the pitch. It doesn't really slow the pitchers down between pitches. Nothing seems to do that.
BrooklynBum
Here is how to change time between pitches: Go to this in your datafile: 2#0.000000e+000,0.000000e+000,5.714286e-002#1.000000e+000,1.000000e+000,0.000000e+000#; 0xab6ee03f 14 1;4 VendorInfo;5 NumOfVendors;11 Rally;1 NumOfHecklers;0 HecklerInfo;3 PitcherFrequency;13 InactivityRallyFreq;12 ShortRally%;6 VendorFreq;10 StadiumVendor%;9 NightVendor%;8 DayVendor%;2 BatterFrequency;7 GenericVendor%; 0x33fba085 14<ambient>;0 ;1 8.0;2 60.00;3 60.00;4 ;5 4.0;6 20.00;7 30.0;8 20.0;9 20.0;10 5.0;11 ;12 75.0;13 35.00; 0x1011a855 54 1;27 Pitch_Effectiveness_Spline;23 UUSameBatter_WithRunners;6 CCNewBatter_NoRunners;45 NewBatterNoRunners;30 SameBatter_NoRunners;25 UUNewBatter_WithRunners;10 CUSameBatter_NoRunners;5 CCSameBatter_WithRunners;2 WorstPitches;33 NewBatter_WithRunners;21 UserUser_Pitching_Batting;7 CCNewBatter_WithRunners;44 WithRunnersBetween;34 RunnerIncreasesLead;28 CPUPitch_PitchBias;24 UUNewBatter_NoRunners;22 UUSameBatter_NoRunners;17 UCSameBatter_WithRunners;14 CURunnerIncreasesLead;1 BestPitches;40 BallBreakingEff;15 UserCPU_Pitching_Batting;51 mLowRisk;18 UCNewBatter_NoRunners;13 CUNewBatter_WithRunners;8 CCRunnerIncreasesLead;0 LowEnergyInjury;52 SaferHighRisk;42 Pitching;3 CPUCPU_Pitching_Batting;47 Pitch_Fatigue_Spline;43 NoRunnersBetween;39 MinAccuracyMiss;29 Delay_CPU_Pitching_CPU_Batting;49 Pitch;46 NewBatterWithRunners;53 NewBatter;41 BallFastballEff;37 Delay_User_Pitching_User_Batting;26 UURunnerIncreasesLead;4 CCSameBatter_NoRunners;9 CPUUser_Pitching_Batting;48 CPUPitch_MissExecuteBias;38 Delay;36 Delay_User_Pitching_CPU_Batting;20 UCRunnerIncreasesLead;11 CUSameBatter_WithRunners;35 Delay_CPU_Pitching_User_Batting;32 NewBatter_NoRunners;16 UCSameBatter_NoRunners;12 CUNewBatter_NoRunners;50 mMedRisk;31 SameBatter_WithRunners;19 UCNewBatter_WithRunners; 0xae9307b4 54<pitcher>;0 0.25;1 150;2 50;3 ;4 0.50;5 1.00;6 0.75;7 1.00;8 2.00;9 ;10 5.00;11 5.50;12 4.50;13 5.50;14 4.50;15 ;16 5.00;17 5.50;18 5.00;19 5.50;20 4.50;21 ;22 1.00;23 1.00;24 1.00;25 1.50;26 2.00;27 3#0.000000e+000,0.000000e+000,0.000000e+000#3.234568e-001,-5.714286e-003,-5.714286e-003#1.00 0000e+000,3.828571e-001,2.285714e-002#;28 3#0.000000e+000,0.000000e+000,0.000000e+000#7.592593e-001,5.714286e-003,0.000000e+000#1.0000 00e+000,9.771429e-001,2.857143e-002#;29 ;30 1.20;31 1.60;32 1.40;33 2.00;34 1.50;35 ;36 ;37 ;38 ;39 0.100;40 0.00;41 0.00;42 ;43 1.00;44 1.70;45 1.60;46 2.20;47 Change the data for 10-14 to increase or decrease time between pitches. Example: 10 CUSameBatter_NoRunners (CU stands for computer/user). Increasing the value of 10 will increase the time between pitches in situations where there are no runners on base. Same goes for 11-14. Hope this helps. The same can be done for UC data also.
big shmooz
Ok... I guess then that I am mistaken. I apologize.
Gordo
What exactly is "UC data"? (Thanks for the help, too) Hmmm....can find the datafile....open it with wordpad.... but can't find these commands, even when I search the file.
Gordo
Ok...through another thread I learned about decompressing/compressing tools, etc. as I was trying to do away with foul ball PIP replays. The question within this thread is about this "10-14" that's mentioned. I'm not clear. Am I changing the actual numbers 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 to something else or are these just indicator numbers? Am I changing the number afte the semi-colon to make the pause in-between pitches greater? If so, what's the upper limit because they are different values as is. big shmooz
I believe the UC stands for "UserComputer" However in the post above I do not see a UC data in there at all. In answer to your other question... You do not actually increase the 10, 11, 12, 13, 14... You need to increase the numbers following them. For instance in the case of number 10 in the above example, you would need to modify the 5.00.
Gordo
Yes, but modify to what? How high can it go and what do they mean. 5.0 clearly doesn't mean 5 seconds....more like 5 milliseconds! hehe

chakfu
I could never get this to work, I think I'm going to play with it some more. I really would like to be able to get user and cpu pitchers to work faster. High Heat used to have a pace of the game setting. If they rapid fire the pitches in there, you can play the game a lot faster, it makes doing a season much easier. And I hate waiting for my pitcher to get sit before it lets me hit a button to start the pitch...
Gordo
Yep, old thread, but this definitely worked. Added some realism to the game. If anyone is interested PM me.
