saxemachine
I've just got a dual analog, 12 button joystick to use with the game, and everything about it (hitting, fielding etc) works fine, but I can't pitch with it. The only pitches I can use are either right down the middle or balls. I can't seem to "fine tune" my accuracy. The controller is called DuoShock plus, which I believe is a Korean generic. I have calibrated it through the control panel and used different settings, but nothing seems to work. Thanks for any help with this.
Gordo
Go into the configuration file itself in the MVP2005 folder that was created and automatically put in your "My Documents" folder. You can open the file with Notepad. Your controller should be the first one listed and take a look at what it's doing as far as pitch types. You may even want to copy and paste what you have on this thread as other guys I'm sure will take a look at it and can make suggestions.
spitoon
Sounds like your controller is set to digital mode, rather than analog...is there a 'Mode' switch/button on your controller, that may fix the problem.
saxemachine
Yep. Spitoon got it. I figured it out after trying pretty much everything else...just comes down to a little button in the middle. Damn. Cheers.
