danc
I did try to do a search on this topic but it is very difficult to pinpoint a specific discussion about a specific team in tc3. Sorry. Were these guys really as good as portrayed in tc3? I have never pitched agains a team with more "red squares"!!!! Seriously these guys are amazing. Any pitch I throw for a strike is clobbered. Bit overblown seems to me.

danc
Got It. Throw balls!! And... Take Pitches!!! They really must have been a bunch of "prema donnas"!! To lose with this kind of plate presence and pitching! Amazing. Thanks. I love learning something.

I love learning something. You also have to learn to read and process information properly. Go to this page right here and read about those 1948 "prima donnas." They were the best hitting and pitching team in the A.L. that year.
danc
Got it. I was thinking of "49" et.al. Hard to deal with these kind of stats when they are infused "as was" on an equal level with other years. Maybe a sybermetic view would help. paulw
Haven't been on the site much but caught a topic I really like in this one. The '48 Indians underperformed in Wins (97) compared to what they should have done according to their stats. According to Total Baseball they should have won about 105 games. The 54 Indians who won 111 games statistically should have won about 99 or 100. Bottom line - with the talent they had this was the best Indian team ever. Would need to check how they rank all-time but my guess is probably in the top 10 of all teams.

danc
Its just interesting how their "red zones" are more forgiving/prolific than the '27 Yankees and others. Hey, I'm not saying there is something wrong here I just asked a question!!! Don't be so damn defensive!! These Braves had a reputation for second guessing any type of authority. Maybe they had a right too. All I know is that their stats, as represented in 2k5, seem to give them an advantage that may not represent their true ability in a total classics sense. Just an opinion. Sorry.

jchorneau
Modders: Hey , first I searched my TC3 teams and couldn't find 2004 Minnesota Twins, then I search the site for an explanation but found nothing. Is this a TC3 version on a MVP 2004 and would n't show up on a 2005 version or what? How can I find and play with the '04 Twins and see how good Luis Rivas is? Thanks
fuzzone
the 2004 twins are not in TC3 ( even though i swear they should be man)... the 2005 Twins with Luis Rivas do just as much damage -- but it all depends on who's holding the joypad ;)

That SOB Rivas hits like Babe Ruth against me. It's crazy. jchorneau wrote: Modders: Hey , first I searched my TC3 teams and couldn't find 2004 Minnesota Twins, then I search the site for an explanation but found nothing. Thanks Play with the Twins with the current 2005 rosters. Rivas is nothing special, the guy's a banjo hitter but for some reason when fuzz uses the Twins, Rivas hits and hits and hits. No it's not corked. In one game, after Rivas hit his second homer against me, Fuzz showed me Rivas' stats. They were not pumped up at all. Rivas is just a lucky bum. jchorneau
Okay, i get it, "but it all depends on who's holding the joypad " ??? Not luck, but some skill and knowledge, right not luck? Luck is some random thing (something they say when someone can't figure out the odds). Convince me that Rivas, computer generated player (in the game), will hit 99% of the time, or what, only against y'all playing against Fuzz. If I go and play with Rivas, I find out he's "just a banjo hitter." So Fuzz is using his skill at playing the game, and he's figured how to use the player Rivas in the game? But if Fuzz plays with another team without Rivas, he cant produce the same results. I think I get it.
