controller.cfg for XBOX controllers (for MVP on the PC)

I just came back to this today thinking the passing of a few months would make me figure it out but still no luck. My wireless 360 controller that works EVERYwhere else completely fails at reading the button assigning that I try to program it to do. Get into the game and the same sub menu and pause problems happen.

Is there ANYthing anyone can tell me that I might be missing?

This is frustrating. So I've been using the configs posted in here. I had it working, but I was just have a problem with my guys always diving wether it be fielding or baserunning. I was just about to attemp to fix that when all the sudden the actual controls just changed by themselves. What would normally be pitch 1, just turned into the analysis. I try changing it in game, but to no avail, and I literally have no pitch one. Also a bunch of other stuff got changed. I check it once I exit the game and it's still how I left it in the config file. Wth is going on?

Anybody have a configuration for a PS4 controller or have an explanation of how to make a configuration from scratch for all controls? Running windows 7 with MVP 15 TC and 2017 rosters.

Maybe some of you guys are running into total incompatibility with new and old technology.  You may simply need to purchase an inexpensive, but good controller for a PC, like the Saitek 990 or 2500.  Even used they are durable and fit well in your hands.  Very programmable.

I don't have the wireless dongle for the XONE controller but do you know if it gets detected as a different device?

Yes it does recognize it as a XBONE for me.

I have always used this cfg.  However, I just installed MVP 05 on an older Win XP PC because I couldn't get it to work on my windows 10, but now I can't get the controller to be recognized.  Everytime I plug in the controller it says it found new hardware but it always fails to install.  Does anyone have any ideas?

I used this to get vibration working with XBox One Controller and it's excellent.  Much more precise than what I get with the XBox 360 Controller.

I'm not sure why the vibration with the XBox 360 Controller is so bad.  Maybe it's these D-Input to X-Input Drivers.  However, with the XBox One Controller it's super precise and feels amazing.  I think it's better than the Gamecube controller as I remember it or have tried recently with emulators. 

 

I've never tried the Logitech.  I built an entire Windows XP box to play this game, and for some reason when I learned my XBox One Controllers were incompatible I just went with the more legacy Microsoft Controller.  They're fine once you update controller.cfg except the rumble isn't good.  I would like to try the Logitech controllers on my Windows XP Box to see how the rumble feels - I'm assuming it would be pretty good and it can't be worse than the XBox 360.

 

TLDR - XBox One is an amazing controller with this game on Windows 11 including super precise and satisfying rumble
