cybernetic Posted October 22, 2005 Share Posted October 22, 2005 pitching is all about location/mixing speeds.. I'm really good at pitching but average at hitting on all star right now. I throw the first pitch either inside with a cutter just off the plate to the opposite hitting batter or low and away to the same side hitting.. i.e. if I'm using a RHP inside to a lefty or down and away to a righty. Then with 2 strikes I throw an off-speed pitch the breaks off the plate or down (i.e. a 12-6 curve or a slider that breaks way).. if that fails I throw a high fastball out of the zone or it times a breaker that breaks right on to the corner if they keep taking those pitches off the plate.
