bravefan
Any Ati card. I have purchased (3) video cards in the last 4 days. I'm trying to resolve this choppiness issue. I have bought a Nvidia Geforce 6200, a Ati Radeon 9550, and now a Ati Radeon X700 Pro 256. Yes I have the latest drivers and patches, the graphics look great, but the choppy gameplay is working me. I thought i had this figured this out with a program called Xp Smoker...which lets you use a feature called Game Boost. (Shuts down processes to better game play) With this new card i see improvements with my other games (Tiger 06..Live 06...San Andreas) but not Mvp. Anyone who has this card or similar, could you give me some advise. Thanks
amrayne
What else do you have in that machine of yours? Hardware wise.

ming
The game runs choppy because it is being run too fast (port job from consoles). Get the patches first, then try upping the settings on your vid card, then get some mods. It sounds weird, but my game runs smoother with full 2x unis, stadiums, balls and bats than it does otherwise...I think it forces the game to run a bit slower. 9800 pro/ P4 2.2/ 1gig ram here, but its such a poor port job it will probably never run perfectly. I hope you get it to work, this is a great game thanks to this community!

The only way I can get the game to run smoothly is to crank up the AA and AF to "slow" the game down...it's entirely counter-intuitive, but it works like a charm. On a side note, my buddy has a much newer computer than I do with an ATI card and I was able to smooth it out significantly using this method, but not entirely...my old slow machine still runs the game smoother than his ;)
whitewolf
Install the official patches. After that the game will run too fast (! - at least on my comp it did). Turn V-Sync on, and it will run great.
Jeeper
I have an ATI 9800 Pro and only 512MB of RAM and the game runs fine for me.
