cool. and yesterday i had an infield-bunt single with Orr from the Braves and he didn't get credited with a hit although there was no out on the play.

and in that game the announcer said anruw jones has 5 rbi on the day but actually he had 4.......

this game need some serious workup!!!

yeah, happens to me all the time. So I just stop at 3rd for now on with Ichiro.

Why would you stop Ichiro? I'd rather have the run, and have it listed as a triple than have a real triple and possibly strand him at third.

I get this all the time, but what I hate more is when you get a triple, but because the outfielder mis-played the ball off the wall, it is ruled an error and you don't get a hit.

I thought that if the game counted it as an error, you don't get credit for a hit no matter when the error happened.

Edit: to avoid confusion (see below posts), I mean if MVP Baseball 2005 counts the play as an error, not Major League Baseball.

As far as I know there is no "Inside the Park Homerun" officially. Oficially it is scored as a triple and a stolen base!

uh no, it counts as a home run i'm sure. i recall this season bobby crosby and eric chavez did it for the a's and both were credited as homers.

usually inside the park'ers are as a result of errors, so it's not actually a home run, it ends up as a triple and an error or a double and 2 base error.

Like the above post kinda says, if you get to third if a player misplays it on the wall then it would be "double, advanced to third on fielding error"

Of course the game isn't that technical, so it just takes away your hit.

In the real world, you are correct. In the virtual world of MVP, though, there is no "inside the park" homer, as has been discussed here.

I hit a triple and there was no error but it got ruled as a double last weekend. I also have hit a legit homer that fell back into play off the bleachers in HHH Metrodome in Minnesota. When it fell back in play it hit the outfielder and was ruled an erorr so no hit. Another time I hit a homer off the foul pole that was a ruled a fielder's choice as the outfielder caught it after it bounced off the pole and threw out one of the runners on base.

You'd think these annoying bugs would be fixed by now but the series has been discontinued.

EDIT: Another bug I found was when Damon hit a hard single towards the shortstop and he dove to grab it then got up quickly to throw to first, but Damon beat it out even though it pulled the firstbaseman off the bag. It was ruled an error but really should have been an infield single because the throw wouldn't have beaten him to the bag anyway.

But when you hit the ball into the gap and the outfielder plays it perfectly and throws you out at second, you're given a single so I can't see why they can't do double, advance to third on error.
