Viceman2004
You'll get the hang of it eventually. I was liek that at one point. Just try not to do too much (eg dive every play etc.) Now I have 2 gg players on my team that have won twice in 2 years. (Vernon Wells and Corey Koskie). Dont give up :)
rolliefingers08
can someone explain the difference between manual fielding and mvp fielding? thanks.
uspdude
can someone explain the difference between manual fielding and mvp fielding? thanks. correct me if im wrong... i only just started using mvp fielding. I think for manual fielding, the AI will move the fielders a bit towards the ball (for about 0.5 second), then the rest of the way you will have to do it manually. uspdude
damn, just to show you guys how much i sucked at fielding... my closer just gave up 9 3B and 2 inside HR in one inning to the Cardinals. ended up losing the game 12 - 2. Gagne's ERA is now like 11.00 now . I wish they have this fielding pratice feature within the game.
medric822
mvp fielding is sorta delayed, and if you switch fielders and have the stick moving in any direction, the player will run in the opposite direction for a sec. And on the fielding, cant help with any, but my OF stinks, and my inf is unstopable. 3B-M. Giles, SS-D.Jeter, 2B-C Figgins, and 1B-Derrek Lee. Like I said, unstopable. Sandlot
I can only do one animation of trying to rob a homerun and its the jump at the wall one. Also I can do the reach over with the arm over the small fence like in Fenway(RF). I've seen the computer outfielders put their hands back to the wall to see where they were then jump, and even using one foot to get up the wall. How come I can't do this? I always mess around with which way I point the right analog as well.
medric822
idk, but once, coco crips was my CF, he jumped almost over the CF wall at yank stad, and caught the ball! His bottom foot was just above the 408 marker. Manny got robbed badly that time.
Sandlot
I think it may be my controller. The right analog on the saitek controller is like turned to the left so if I went to ralroad the catcher I have to turn the right analog to the left. But that shouldn't limit me from different dives and climbing the wall.
probaseball203
nah dude its because were humans..lol the game wont let us do that..nd its unfair! the computer u see like from before reaching the wall they time their jump.not cool

That's the control I have, and someone's posted about how to change the config so that you have the correct axis controls and what not (i.e. up will be head-first slides, up-right = head-first hook right, etc.)

Hopefully I can fix it. I'll go look for that post.
uspdude
when you try to rob someone's homerun, do your OF normally wait at the wall then jump? or do you run and jump??
Sandlot
when you try to rob someone's homerun, do your OF normally wait at the wall then jump? or do you run and jump?? It's the same result every time, no matter if you wait or run and jump.
