Multiplayer Fantasy Draft in Dynasty Mode?

Hi!

First of all, I am new here and wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful roster updates and tools for the game. They are so useful and well designed.

Here’s my dilemma: My friends and I want to set up a four-player fantasy league using MVP Baseball 2005. We would draft our players, then play an 18 game season (each team would face each other 6 times). We would simply choose the lineups and starting pitchers, then let the CPU control the rest of each game.

To shorten/customize the schedule, I will try the steps outlined at http://mvpmods.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=1101...n+schedule.html

Here is my question:

--Is it possible for the four of us to draft our 30 players in Dynasty mode before the remaining computer teams draft their players? If we can’t use the draft function, then what is a good mod for altering the rosters manually so that we can insert the 30 players into each of our teams?

The draft won't work that way.

So, I would recommend drafting the players "offline", then use MVPedit to put your drafted players on their respective teams.

Thanks so much. We'll do it exactly as you say. As a followup, we are wondering if it is possible to alter/shorten the schedule so that only our four teams remain to play the 18 games, rather than have all the other teams in there. But maybe I'll figure this out once I try schedule-modding on my own.

I don't think you can change the schedule!

I'll have to go home and check, it's been awhile since I've played MVP (now that Football and Basketball are here)

...seems to indicate that you can change the schedule. I'll try it out and let others know how it works (or doesn't work!) for us.
