DodgersLegends (Gil Hodges, Johnny Podres preview)

That does look great. Hodges was in fact a Dodger legend and all around great player. I wish I could have seen him play. Great work jogar.

One correction though, he wasn't the manager of the '62 Mets. Casey Stengel was. Hodges managed the Mets from 1968 - 1971. He died before the 1972 season.

jogar84,

I really am excited about your upcoming Don Zimmer. For some odd even unknown reason to me he was always one of my favorite players from the '60s when he was with the Dodgers and Senators. Must have been his Popeye look even back then. Thanks for all you do with these faces. Your work is really impressive and tremendously appreciated.

Take Care,

Don

thank you for the comments. Hope to have these in time for the upcoming TC4.

If you can give me a list of the teams- or a list of players you'd like to see, I'd be more than willing to crank out a few more.

jogar84,

A few of the players that I feel are prominent Classics players and also have fairly unique faces are:

Maury Wills

John Roseboro

Don Drysdale

Curt Flood

Jimmy Wynn

Vada Pinson

Matty Alou

Steve Carlton

Thanks for your considerations of these. Any of the above or others will greatly enhance the overall Total Classics project - which seems to get better with each passing week due to the wonderful contributions of so many.

Take Care,

Don
