Fantasy League/MVPEdit/Roster tips?

Hi everyone,

A couple of days from now, my friends and I are planning to have a fantasy draft. We will draw from all the 2005 MLB teams to create fantasy rosters on five teams (Yankees, Orioles, Dodgers, etc.) and play a series of games against each other, probably in exhibition mode. We'll do the draft on paper, then create our five teams using MVPEdit.

I want to ask for tips in two areas.

--I've been playing with MVPEdit, and I am worrying it will be a nightmare to transfer 125 players (25 players * 5 teams) to their new teams in our fantasy league while correcting all the roster/lineup/rotation errors that will occur. Any tips for how to make this as painless as possible?

For example, while we are making the fantasy roster, should we immediately swap position for position (e.g. if I want to add Griffey to the Yankees, should I immediately send Bernie to Cincinnati)? When is the best time to resolve the lineups/rotations/rosters? Should I just try to resolve errors in just the 5 teams in our fantasy league, or do I have to fix the errors in all the teams to prevent a crash?

Are there any other ways for making the fantasy roster than the approach that I described? I don't want to turn this fantasy league into a nightmare for myself!!!

--We want to use the wonderful 2005 Stats Roster (thanks Tony3!) but there is no MBE file. And as of now, MVPEdit seems to crash for exports on anything other than MBE files. Any tips in this area?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks so much.

Ben
