Rich1295 Posted November 21, 2005 Share Posted November 21, 2005 Since installing patch 4 I can't play online. I initially couldn't install patch 4 until uninstalling and reinstalling mvp 2005. I keep getting a message saying that my game executable must be updated before I can play online. That's even after I install all the patches in order. I've reinstalled the game numerous times and rebooted be4 I try online play but with no success. Any suggestions ? EA really did a number on us...... You're obviously doing something wrong installing the patch. btw you only have to install patch 4 not 1,2,3 and then 4. Patch 4 is just a roster update compared to some of the other ones that address online issues or game issues. Patch 4 contains everything that was updated through patch 3 & IN ADDITION... it contains a roster update. I also configured my firewall for the new exe which I did be4. I still get the message saying my game is out of date and that for online play my exe has to be updated. It also gives me a link for patch 3 which is the same message I've gotten all along. I appreciate the input guys. Anyother suggestions ? I even checked my registry for anything lingering behind but found nothing. baseballfans Posted November 21, 2005 Share Posted November 21, 2005 well uninstall everything and reinstall your best bet for online play. But do install patch 2 cause it fix the online issue.
