It's not official yet, so theres no real beckett sox photo, unless you want a photoshoped pic.
I think he meant to put a red sox hat on Beckett's original portrait.

I can't believe the Red Sox would trade their best prospect for a .500 pitcher with injury problems, and still pay Edgar $$$ to miss groundballs.

It's almost a disappointment to see Renteria play the way he did after the seasons he gave the Cards.

hanley played in my hometown this year and trust me he wasnt that great.... Robert Andino is better than him, and becketts injury problems arent as bad as people think a lot of them were managment deciscions not Becketts decision hes young and they didnt want to put strain on his arm...

Agreed. He was at one time, but he has been somewhat of a letdown thus far. His numbers aren't that great. I still think he could be great, but certainly expendable. I'm just glad that the sox were able to keep Lester out of this deal.

another thing, i've heard from several people that Hanley has a bit of an atittude and ego, something that would never make him feel welcomed in the Red Sox clubhouse. And yes, Cano is definitely much, much better.

Cano is a cocky player. But like Ali said, its not braggin if you can back it up. I also think he is in good hands with all those veterans guiding him.

Ego and Attitude not fit in the Red Sox clubhouse? Are you kidding me, the team is full of them.

I always believed that Cano was better than Ramirez.

But about the trade... the Marlins got a few legit prospects and slashed payroll bigtime, and the Red Sox got Lowell and a very good still YOUNG pitcher in Josh Beckett.
