bpstein
Hi everyone, --Is it currently possible to make an MVP 2005 fantasy league in which I can move drafted players (with their end of regular 2005 season stats) from their real-life team to a fantasy team? I have Tony3's nice end-of-2005-season update, but it currently does not have an MBE file, and generates the >255 free agents error when I import the dats. What other options might there be? Should I wait until MVPEdit is compatible with the latest EA roster update? --I'm new to MVPEdit, so I wanted to ask if changing the season/career stats of a player is enough, or if I also have to manually edit the percentages of the hitting vs. lefties and righties? Also, does a player's performance in the game depend at all on his career stats, or just his season stats? Thanks very much, and sorry for these naive questions. bpstein
OK, I have arrived at some answers to my questions: --Is it currently possible to make an MVP 2005 fantasy league in which I can move drafted players (with their end of regular 2005 season stats) from their real-life team to a fantasy team? I have Tony3's nice end-of-2005-season update, but it currently does not have an MBE file, and generates the >255 free agents error when I import the dats. What other options might there be? Should I wait until MVPEdit is compatible with the latest EA roster update? The Ultimate Rosters mbe file is working well for me in this area. Like many others in this forum, I am ignoring the end-of-season EA roster update. --I'm new to MVPEdit, so I wanted to ask if changing the season/career stats of a player is enough, or if I also have to manually edit the percentages of the hitting vs. lefties and righties? Also, does a player's performance in the game depend at all on his career stats, or just his season stats? The stats appear to be window dressing; what seems to affect the player's performance is the set of screens in which one adjusts the "percents" and other parameters against LH and RH pitching.
