WooyJiz
I have been enjoying MVP Baseball 2005 for a while now, but I am still having problems hitting homeruns. My batters seem weak. I am using the newest Ultimate Rosters 4.21 so it have Andruw Jones power up after his 51 HR season, but after playing 25 games in the dynasty he only has 2 homeruns and the rest of my team together only has 6. I ahve tried adjusting the sliders but it doesnt seem to help. I dont seem to have much probelm hitting for an average as Andruw is hitting .321 and the rest of my team is doing alright. PS I am using All-Star diff.
Matroska
If youre using a keyboard heres how you hit homers. Press 8 and 4 (on the numpad) to hit homers with Lefties Press 8 and 6 (on the numpad) to hit homers with Righties Ofcourse they arent homers all the time, that depends on contact, power and the pitch. ixcuincle
Does the location matter? For instance if the pitch is thrown at the upper right corner of the strike zone would I use 8 and 6 to hit a homerun with a rightie , or would 8 and 6 hit a home run in the middle of the strike zone or upper left , etc? The whole home run hitting is confusing in general. :(
medric822
i found out that hitting homers, just helps as long as they dont throw to your hotzone. This game 'learns' as you play, and thats why i have D. Ortiz bunting, and Jeter hitting the opposite way. To hit the opposite way, you just wait a split second later than normal on a pitch outside. It'll work 90% of the time
WooyJiz
Ok well i have tried putting my thumbstick up and it works, I feel stupid, I thought you used the thumbstick to aim your bat, so for example if the pitch was low and outside i would push my thumbstick to low and outside. Haha i feel retarded. I played a few games and felt like I had much mroe power.
