Stealing

I have runners on first and second. I want the runner on second to steal third but the runner on first to stay there! I know how to make a baserunner steal when he is the only baserunner but I can't seem to do it when I have two baserunners and I only want one of them to steal. Also my pickoff throws by my pitchers barely make to the base I have them throw to! How can I make the speed of the throw faster?

If you use a controller, push button number 4 to select the runner on 2nd and then press the D-Pad left. To throw harder hold down the button all the way.

To add to steelstone's answer, you do know there are 2 different ways for the pitcher to throw a pickoff throw, right? One is a casual throw & one is a harder type throw. The manual describes this. I can't tell you specifically what buttons to use because I don't know how you set up your configuration file. On my setup to make the harder throw I use the left shoulder button plus the base I am throwing to, but that may not be your configuration. (this is the same button you would use when trying to pitch out by holding it down & then throwing home. This may tell you which button that is in your configuration)
