The ACC IMO. The ACC has always had a rich tradition of basketball and multiple good teams and this year is no exception. With so many good powerhouses this year with Duke , UNC , Wake , NC State , Maryland , Boston College , and Georgia Tech there is no question in my mind the ACC is the strongest this year.

I'm watching Texas getting pummeled by Tennessee right now. This was supposed to be a #2 program in the country but they were blown out by Duke and now by Tennessee? What's going on? Someone has got to right the ship fast. It is acceptable for #2 ranked teams to lose to #1 teams but to unranked Tennessee?

And how about #4 Louisville getting romped by #22 Kentucky? A Kentucky team that got slaughtered by the Hoosiers just a week ago. Texas doesn't even looked like a ranked team this year.

It's still early, maybe the rankings are off more than we know.

If anyone has EA sports NCAA March Madness 06 or ESPN College Basketball 2006 , which should I get? I've been seriously considering buying one of them , since I'd be really interested in playing several college basketball games , plus the fact that both never release college sports for pc :(

Two of the three unbeatens lost today. Pittsburgh went down against St. John's and Dook lost to G-Town! This leaves Florida (17-0) as the only team w/o a loss in 1-A college basketball.

It's kinda weird having one of the best college players, if not thee best in the country playing right here in Spokane at a little college called Gonzaga.

Adam Morrison is just down right awesome, I hope they go far in the tourney. The Bulldogs are the only team in Spokane to cheer for, they are on tv today local channel tip off at 3pm. A lot of there games are on ESPNU and our stupid cable company does not offer it in Spokane.

Go Dogs!

My favorite college team is UCONN. Ive been a fan of them for a while. With Marcus Williams, Rashad Anderson, Rudy Gay, Denham Brown, Josh Boone, and Hilton Armstrong there are a strong favorite to go deep in the tourney this year. What they have what most teams lack is the inside-out game. Another great team with inside-out is Duke. Sheldon Williams and J.J Riddick are one of the best twos in the nation. The final 4 this year will be a GREAT one! My predictions... Uconn, Duke, Gonzaga, and Memphis.

Florida also lost to Tennessee after Spivey's post, so that leaves us with no undefeated teams.

Yeah...that was a weird saturday when all 3 undefeated teams in division 1 lose. I dont' think that loss will affect Duke that much. They had never gone 18-0 before , but with this loss I predict them to barely beat the Hokies (VT has played neck-and-neck with Duke the last 2 meetings) and continue their winning ways to win the ACC Championship and go far in the tourney. I however do not think Duke has what it takes to win it all. Teams like Gonzaga , West Virginia , and Illinois , I think , have a chance to knock Duke out.

I wasn't surprised when Florida fell. I had a feeling Tennessee might win , since they have a great coach in Bruce Pearl and they also beat Texas. I was however very surprised to see Pitt lose to St. Johns.

Gotta love that 'stache!

Morrison's just a straight-up pure scorer. It baffles me his jumpshot ability and how he can find enough room to get off a great look at the basket with guys all up in his grill. Fun as hell to watch (moreso in person) and hopefully the NCAA Player of the Year.

And #1 duke will probably lose their first ACC game of the year. The Seminoles fans should be reprimanded for rushing 1.7 seconds too early...but hey , if they end up winning this game (there's been a 10 minute delay for that early rush) they get to rush the court twice in one day. Wow...what a game!

Now the team that deserves #1 will return to its rightful spot : UCONN.

Ohio State Buckyes will make a run, but the next 2 years after this year will be their years to win it all. Mainly because I will be there. :D

As sad as I hate to say it, Ohio State will probably be ranked #1 most of the year. Being that they got the two top recruits in the country (Greg Oden, Mike Conley- both from Indianapolis) and with the players they have returning, they will dominate.

It's just sad Indiana can't keep our own boys in state anymore.

Josh McRoberts - Duke

Rodney Carney - Memphis

Greg Oden - Ohio State

Mike Conley - Ohio State

Oh well, we finally get a new coach next year that might be able to recruit the top talent again.

Wow. Today was one of, if not the best days of pre-tournament NCAA ball. UCONN (My most hated of all Us) lost in an OT thriller to Syracuse, thanks to a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by senior guard Gerry McNamara to send the game to overtime and keep the Orange's season alive, and in the A-10 tourney, No. 1 seed, 1 loss, 6th in the nation George Washington got roughed up by Temple, who are on a roll after demolishing Rhode Island in the first round of the Atlantic 10 conference tournament.

Such a great day. I love college basketball.

Ya, today it kind of sucked. My favorite team wont win the big east championship(check the user name). Its all good...im still guessing a #1 seed will be handed out to UCONN.

Yeah. Of course they'll still hold a #1 seed, but the question becomes, will they still be able to hold on to the #1 overall seed in the tournament? We will see how the rest of the conference championships play out, Duke and 'Nova-wise.

Oh, and my team didn't even make the Big East tourney, so quit your whining. :(

Uconn should be the overall #1 seed still. They are by far the best team in the country.

I agree, but UConns success in the tourney depends on what team shows up. They have the deepest team by far in college basketball. Sometimes they play like the best team and sometimes they don't. I still like UConn to win it all, but who knows; anything can happen.
