cb
I'm trying to make portraits for myself and I can't figure out how to save the picture so it's compatible.
eber
When you save the file, there should be some sort of pull-down menu such as "Save as type:" or "Color depth" (depending on your program) that allows you to select between 24-bit, 256-color (8-bit), 16-color (4-bit), greyscale, or 1-bit bmp. If you poke around enough with save options or image options, you should find something.

cb
WEll, for the first reply, I already knew how to do that, but for some reason photoshop wouldn't let me save it as an 8-bit but I figured it out by doing what kraw suggested. Thanks. -cb
AstroEric
The easiest way to make portraits is to NFSHtool the old portraits, and copy and paste over the old bmp and alpha files. No worrying about bit stuff then. --Eric
