Guest JWClubbie
This is the dilly yo. I am about 50 games into my TB Dynasty. I have played all games MLB-A and really don;t wanna start over. I have one issue. Is it going to be possible in the near future to edit names or portraits in a current dynasty. I just need Delmon and Delwyn to change faces. For the default roster I have done this, but in the dynasty the changes dont show up. So How could this be changed....... What issues stand in the way of editing active dynasty roster or portrait files Thanks
big shmooz
I believe a few months ago this question was already asked in the forums. I wish I knew exactly where that post was. (you could do a search to try to find it) I believe the answer is, to change names you may not be able to do. However there is a way to get the portrait in, as long as you choose a number for that portrait that the game already saw BEFORE you started the dynasty. I may be mistaken on this, but at least it's worth a try.
xiberger
big shmooz is right, it seems you're bringing up this question every month or so... :? In one of your earlier posts I've already told you how to solve this problem. Here's the link (in case you forgot): http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...ewtopic&t=15580

I know I asked how to before, this question was why is it difficult or impossible to do this (what roadblocks) Not how to etc. Thanks for the response! Guest JWClubbie
Ok. I don;t understand how to do this to make it show up in the dynasty. Can you please give me detailed instructions. Thanks alot. John
xiberger
Ok, all you need to extract Delmon's and Delwyn's portraits from your portraits.big, then simply switch the filenames. But you'll also need to change the numbers inside the two .fsh files. These can be found in the attachment "name". So, open each file with FshEd, and extract "name". Now comes the tricky part because you'll need to use a Hex Editor in order to change the numbers. This being done, re-import the modified attachment into the respective portrait file, so that both the filename and the attachment "name" are correct. Finally, import both files into you portraits.big, and you're done! Here are two threads that might be helpful: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...ewtopic&t=14465 http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...ewtopic&t=12691 Hope it works! Guest JWClubbie
YAY It worked. It took near an hour how to figure it out.lol So one more question. A player in my dynasty has his name spelled wrong. In the hexeditor, can I change the name spelling (Jeremt to Jeremy) or will I have a problem doing this? xiberger
Glad it worked! As for the spelling of a name, I don't know whether that can be changed with a Hex Editor, but I doubt it.

xiberger
What about if i create myself into the game. and i want to put in my picture? what do i have to do? Simple, just find a portrait number that isn't taken yet (I'm using # 9999), and import your portrait with mvpedit.
fabiomontiel
yes, but if i use for example # 9999, how the game will know that that photo is for the created player Me?
xiberger
In mvpedit you can assign your player that number. Just enter "9999" in the field "Audio/ID", then right-click on the portrait preview and import your photo.
