Must have downloads for the game?

I just got it, and i've been looking around the site.. I'm overwhelmed by all the things there are to download (even after reading and searching the forums), so I thought it'd be nice to get a basic list of what everyone thinks is a bunch of must have downloads (anything from stadiums to rosters) for this game.

One think i'm looking for is something to make the game a bit more realistic (the CPU makes way too many amazing catches and outfield splitting triples) :)

Personally I don't like RodData 7 but there's tons that do. I prefer v4 myself.

Also, this is also a MUST READ for slider adjustments and if you want some realism in your games.

Right click and choose Copy shortcut and paste this addy in your address bar.

And also get Bill Harris' progression mod.

Thanks everyone. I have another question, so I figured i'll ask it here. I bought a generic non-supported control for the game, and set it to Logitech Dual Pro - after some fiddling with buttons, everything works perfectly, except two things:

1) The right thumbstick (for reference, this control is almost exactly like a PS2 controller) doesn't control slides correctly.. for example, moving it to the right makes the person slide head first when fielding a play. I don't know why, but they directions seem to be mixed up - is there some way I can change this?

2) I can't control the menus with the control. I don't know if this is a problem with me or it's just the way the game is, but I can go as far as getting to the menu (via pressing start, or navigating the quick screens to warm up a pitcher or something), but after that I have to use a mouse/keyboard, which can get tedious. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help :D

1. go to my computer...control panel...other hardware...and find the joystick settings..maybe try re-calibrating your controller...

2.i cant control menus with controller either, i dont think its you, i think its the game :)

It is the game, the only way to have any control of menus is with a 3rd party program, but even then it's easier to just use the mouse.

I use JoyToKey in order to use the Select key to take screenshots.

Tried that, didn't work. This is from my controller.cfg file.. can anyone see if something is wrong? (I assume these values are for the thumb sticks):

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 3

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 3

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 4

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 4

Change the config around, maybe it's:

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 3

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 3
