tom-nyy-26
Yo, I thought i would tell you about my playoff game i just played. Im the D-Rays and beat minnesota in the ALDS (3-2). I'm now facing Seattle in the ALCS. Anyway, Game 1 i won (5-2), game 2 i simmed and won 9-6. So the series goes to Seattle with the D-rays leading 2-0. Kazmir started for the D-Rays and Piniero started for the mariners. 1st inning...crawford tripled and Cantu then hit his first HR of the game (2-0 D-Rays). In the bottom half of the inning ichiro doubled then scored (2-1). 2nd inning...T.Hall goes yard to dead centre (3-1 TB)..nothing happened in the bottom of the 2nd 3rd inning...nothing happened for TB or Seattle. 4th inning...Nothing happened for TB. Bottom of the 4th, Seattle score a run (3-2). (RBI off Ibanez) 5th inning...still nothing for TB. Then, in the bottom of the 5th, Bloomquist singled for Seattle then Ichiro hit a changeup on the bottom outside corner the other way for a HR.. (TB 3-4 Sea) 6th inning...nothing happened for either team 7th inning...Jonny Gomes hit a moonshot to left to tie the game at 4-4...bottom of the 7th, after an error made by myself thinking i had 2 outs i only got one out in a possible double play, Seattle went on to load the bases with 2 outs. then, Ibanez comes to bat, and singles in 2 runs. (TB 4-6 Sea) 8th inning...Nothing happened. Kazmir pitched a scoreless 8th then was replaced by Carter, Piniero was replaced by Karsay. 9th inning...The mariners bring Guarado (sP?) into the game to close out this slugfest. But, down by 2 and leading off the inning with Crawford i was in a good mood. Crawford struck out swinging :x . Next batter: Cantu, the first pitch he see's he smacks a solo shot to left (TB now down by 1 run 6-5). The next batter, who came into this game hitting below .150 was Gomes (who already had a HR). He smacks another HR to left-centre to tie the game up at 6-6 in the ninth. In the 10th, carter struck out the side including Ichiro who had been a pain to get out. In the TB half of the ninth , J.Guanzalez flied out, T.hall grounded out and T.lee did what he usually does for me, grounded out. In the 11th...game tied at 6-6. first batter up was Cantu. He smacks the second pitch he saw into the stands in left field (7-6). Gomes, Upton and Barkett (prospect) all recorded outs. so in the bottom of the 11th i bring in my rookie close byung hung perez to finish this out (and i was nervous). he gets beltre to ground out, Ibanez to ground out and konerko to fly out to short...game over!! i thought i would share that because it was probably one of the best games i have played.. check out my boxscore: EDIT: sorry about the size of the image, i cant seem to sort out sizes of photobucket for images
Viceman2004
Wow nice. I had so many games where I rallied off the closer to tie the game, only to lose in extra innings. Very frustrating.
tom-nyy-26
yea i know what you mean. the real annoying ones are where you take the lead of tie it only to blow the lead the next inning and have to do it all again.
